Servers are up. There was a post on the JP forum about finishing early, and here it is.
If anyone has the correct IP for the actual servers for pinging it would be great.

15 person queue lol
Can confirm, I'm in game. Does anyone notice a difference in their connections? O:
Balmung's IP confirmed via Network Activity in my task manager's resource monitor to be: 204.2.229.82
I live in Texas and have the general same 65ms as I had before. However, the packet loss issue before was causing me some mudra lag and blackmage mana regen issues. I can tell everything is a lot more response and smooth. I can now go full speed on casting my mudras and not have to worry about it having a hiccup. I have never not had my mudras work smoothly before and had to be extra careful casting them.
Siren IP is 204.2.229.82 and I am pretty miffed at them shorting the east coast, my ping has quadrupled from 30 ms to 120 ms, thank you Squeenix ;_;
Son of a... 160ms to 240ms. GG SE.
Weird. I'm still looking at my Network activity while definitely connected to Balmung, and it's showing 204.2.229.82 as the IP.

Anyone got the IP for the Jenova server?
Mhaeric, I play on siren and this is from netstat -b " TCP 10.0.0.106:1870 204.2.229.82:55024 ESTABLISHED
[ffxiv_dx11.exe]"
My ping went from around 114 to 76. I live around Los Angeles.
Don't think it was worth it though for all the trouble this is going to cause all of my east coast friends, and I say this as a Bard main (easily the most ping-dependent class in the game), and yet I still functioned pretty well before.
From 29 to 108 :(
*sigh*
Well it was nice while it lasted.
Though the 'request timed out' I now get on tracert heading through the lovely level3 hop is more concerning.
I wonder why they don't have many physical servers for NA for such a big country while they have 2 or 3 datacenter for NA.
But I'm EU that's not my concern we got better servers for Heavensward ¯\_ツ_/¯
Jenova 204.2.229.90
NA has many physical servers. Our issue is our routing because our telecoms compared to the rest of the world are literal corrupt piles of dung due to virtually no competition between companies outside of the major cities, and our infrastructure is among the worst of the developed world as a result. It's why something like Google Fiber is seen as the next coming of Jesus whenever they announce they're moving into a new area. Canada apparently suffers from a similar situation too.
They lobby to keep the status quo, and now these bastards want to nuke Net Neutrality too.
I know I already touched on this subject, but it's worth repeating. I mean no offense.
YOU HAVE GOOGLE FIBER, something good enough to override most bull[censored] resulting from any sever relocation no matter where they go, unless they go completely overseas or something.
Exactly, it's not all about ping. Google has direct access to the NTT pipeline from one hop.
33ms. California Master Race.
