Your Stormblood resolution

So as I'm approaching my full year of FF14, I've decided there are things I'm going to do differently come SB. As to whether or not I can keep them (like my new year's resolution on taking it easy with licorice) will remain to be seen

-Cutting down my retainers to two only. I'll figure out my spacing issues somehow but not at the cost of a rental.

-Do hunts. I think I've only hunted 4 times in the game. The first for novelty. The other three because I just happened upon them.

-Fishing. Similar to above.

-Treasure hunting. I've only dug up a treasure once. And I have so many bottled maps to go through...

-More gold saucer activities. I actually like the place alot.

What's your SB resolution?

Refrain from letting myself fall back into maining a healer. I've finally decided to break out of the rut and do something new rather than main healing as I always have.

Here are mine:

- Raiding, I want to put more focus on clearing alot of content.

- Do some chocobo racing and breeding.

- Fish some legendary fishes.

- PvP, I want to obtain the mounts that are locked behind PvP achievements.

- Change from Healing role to DPS.

My resolution is actually to do less- if there's anything I need to push myself to do more, it's dailies, since I tend to frontload a lot of the weekly stuff.

At the urging of my wife, I will try to be "nicer to people" in DF.

Not sure how long I'll be able to keep it up.

They said that SCH will be able to spear fish in underwater zones. Sound very fun so because of that I plan on leveling my FSH to 60 and then further once 4.0 hits.

Other goal is get my alt to finish Heavensward msq

- I want to fully understand Machinist. I'm trying, but damn it makes me want to chew through a brick sometimes.

- I want all those wolves!

- Keep improving at PVP

-Improve my Monk damage even further (Trying to get my Final Chakra to Crit within Fell Cleave territory.)

-Max out more crafting classes (Really feeling CUL and Goldsmith.)

-Try Botanist.

-Overcome my EXTREME anxiety when it comes to tanking. I love WAR, have it at 60, and I am always scared to bring it into DF.

Master a DPS class (aiming for RDM) to bring into Raiding territory. Always been a healer or tank, so this time I'd like to DPS it.

My goal is to master the Samurai class. And be the very best. Like no one ever was....

-Learn summoner
-Max my first ever crafting class (GSM)
-Try more crafting classes
-Go out of my way and grab some of those vital (but annoying) cross-class abilities.
-Maybe dip my feet in the water and try some of the new SB jobs.

- Don't fall too far behind this time (I did in HW due to irl circumstances)
- Focus on crafting/gathering
- Play heals more

To enjoy it and not rush things, I felt like I rushed Heavensward a little bit, I was always racing from point a to b, should take my time, especially since I am not particularly enthusiastic about raiding when it first comes out, maybe down the line, but for now I hope to have a more chill experience.

Gonna level all my combat classes to 70 of course, for as loathed as it is, I absolutely adore levelling in this game.

I'm going to ditch healing for DPSing, i'm prepared for hour long que times.

I resolve to find a better mmo before another expansion drops.

-Master NIN (my secondary job); main BRD for 3 years now, it's time to master a different DPS class.
-Lvl one of the new classes which I pick SAM.
-Once the housing is available, get my character an apartment.
-Try to get better with crafting and gathering so I'll be able to do those master recipes (still debating though since that costs lots of gil and I hate being broke lol).

Figure out what the deal is with Machinist and why I feel like I'm not contributing as much despite using the same opener/rotation, and finding a new job to play if it doesn't change (sadly)

To be the best Red Mage I can be!

And buy an apartment in Kugane :3

Find a plot of land~!

Hopefully...

- My resolution will be 3840 X 2160. Got a 4K setup and plan to enjoy it. Hahaha.

- On a more note serious note: Moving my appartment to the new area.

- My alt will change from DRG to RDM or SMN. PLD will remain my main.


That's pretty much it. I plan to stick to a formula that works for me. Leveling gathering classes via leves and leveling gathering classes via beastmen dailies . As for combat classes, I keep my main (PLD) up to date, my alt at capped tome level every even patches, and a healing class at uncapped tome level in case it's the actual "adventurer in need" class when doing roulettes.

Because I mainly just play as PLD except when for whatever reason, tanking is not the ideal scenario, usually on 24-man raids.

Level Tank jobs to 70
Level All DOW jobs to 70
New Relic Quest
Level All DOL/DOH jobs to 70
Craft/Gather and become a very rich guy!!! ;)
Decorate FC House with new furniture's
Raiding = Thanks for the offer but I will have to pass. They are no fun at all. (Unless something changes in SB)

Avoid the new relic like the plague and dont start that time consuming and unfun quest.

Going back to Paladin

Dont buy StormBlood before i know what are the changes of Cleric Stance.

And try to keep calm even when i play with lazy peoples in raid.24

- Bring my Crafting and Gathering classes to their maximum level.
- Bring my Disciple of Magic jobs to their maximum level.
- Make Red Mage my new main over Black Mage.
- Acquire the Red Mage Anima/Relic Weapon Equivalent Stormblood will bring.
- Acquire a House (little hope of achieving this one).

- Max all three tank jobs.
- Tank all the SB content.
- Get all the gathering classes to max
- Max my rank with all three GCs
- finish at least one relic weapon
- get an apartment/house

Well I dont think I had any goals because I came in hw not sure which patch.
But when I started playin a goal was to never leave the nn and I achieved that by becoming a mentor I just love to help and love the community feel of the nn.
But I still have goals left that I prob wont accomplish them all tho :
-Clear zur (the only primal I havent cleared :( ) I tried this about 4 or 5 times and it was just ugly in learnin party situations and I havent cleared it yet so its my only option at the moment.

-Clear the last tiers of alex 9s to 12s, cleared nine first try with ease , I feel as tho ten is the most obtainable at this point, it took many people a long time to clear a11s and a12s Im not to bombed about the raids because I wasnt able to even do the others so if I dont finish these Ill live.

-Finish leveling my crafters i have seven at level 50 I have to make a final push will see how it goes.

-Wasnt my original goal but now I want to get every job to sixty so I have mch and ninja left this is obtainable.

-Get all jobs ilvl to 265 I believe this is possible as well Im pretty close to this.

-The goal that may not happen make more gil for glam in sb , I know the eastern gear is gona look so cool I need gil for it I have a house so glam is all I need.

-Finish my drk anima as a promise to be as good of a drk as I am palidan mt will see ha

For storm blood:

New approach for how I played thus far kinda nervous about it.

-Do my msq on time to unlock all the raids and primals so I can get out of the learning party mood, (I hate this because I really do enjoy having story left to do at all times I still havent even finished hw yet).

-Raid from the beginning and see how it goes I may have to attempt to make a static Id be nervous of puttin myself out there but will see.

-Level all battle classes and learn and master each rotation startin for the begining at least ill have a year or so to be able to use the same rotations.

-And overall help others and become a better mentor so lets see how it goes

Don't get burnt out.
Actually enjoy the gathering and crafting process.
Stick to one main class and call it good
Try to keep up with dungeon gear (and the Joneses) but not make it a huge priority unless there are some really kickass glamour sets. :D

And try to get back into raiding since I dropped it all in 3.0 after always wanting to do in 2.0.

I'll become more aware of all the tomestone options available to me instead of just daily grinding roulettes until I reach the cap.

My only real goal is to continue to excel. If I end up liking SAM or RDM, I want to be an exceptional one. I want to continue making a name for myself in PvP as the "White Hot Machinist". I want to take better screenshots and make better videos. I want to make more friends and help more people.

And I want to be exceptional at it.

My goal for 3.x is actually a late 1.x goal. I want all the luminary tools.
Except I'm HQing on my way so no quick synth.

Just two more to go, but I don't think I'll make it lol

I plan to take my salt to deep sea levels since it'll fit the theme of stormblood.

Do my first relic(doubt I will as the FATE grinding can bite my arse)

To be smart with my playtime and not burn myself out before I can do the things I want to do, such as raiding.
