Class Trait Information

Now I know we've been given a good list for the new abilities & actions for each class which gives us an understanding of how they will work.

However, I would think Traits will end up playing a great role in this as well, and I was wondering if we are going to receive any information about class/job traits prior to patch notes and/or patch day?

I thought this thread was someone calling attention to a new lodestone update and got a raging anticiperection but now that dream is shattered.

That's what I'm hoping for, would like a Dev to chime in and throw some info our way. Even if it's a "No, you only get to see them on patch day." Then hey, at least I know. I'm very curious about the traits though since we're going to have a few of 'em, and I don't presume they'll be the same as before.

Haha, sorry to mislead. I just have not seen anyone request the information & with patch day fast approaching I was curious if we would get this separately, with patch notes, or not at all.

It's scurry, I was biting into a deep-fried lalafell leg earlier thinking the same question.

I wonder if the in-game descriptions of traits will indicate how it impacts different abilities. Or if abilities will indicate the combo requirement, combo effect, or traits that impact it.

There seems to be five job abilities/magic, but will there be job traits?

This probably does not matter if class traits are not cross class.

Yea, I was curious as to if they will be equipable or not, as some traits create effects from certain WS/Abilities, and in some scenarios these may not be desired effects. But traits are class exclusive, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to add or remove them. We do however get I believe 11 traits per class, so I'm curious as to how they will change traits, or what they will add to each class. I know in XI I picked up certain classes just for the traits available to them. Not like it matters since I'll have all DoWs at 50, but still.

This thread has gotten me excited thinking about it. I realize the with-holding of 11 traits for 7 classes (possibly 77 traits?) makes me unhealthy curious.

Since the traits aren't cross class, mostly curious on Gladiator, Marauder, and Conjurer traits.

Yea, the traits will really make-or-break my main class choice. I have my fingers crossed for a MRD Double Attack trait.

Well just one more week and we´ll know wich traits they offer for every class, at this point its ok if i dont get that info...

I understand this but again, under a week to patch and we know they're working on patch notes. Likely means they'll be included there, but there was no harm in asking.

I actually thought it was a little odd for them to release actions/weaponskills information but not the traits along side it. Ah well, haters gonna hate.

I think they seen the fallout from when they posted the first round of skill reforms and they're probably making sure to better present it this time around, they did say patch notes will (may?) be posted a few days in advance so that's probably the best bet if it's not posted tomorrow.

It will be nice to have the second half of the picture.

Trying to figure out how the revamped classes are going to play without the traits is not really worth the effort.

That's exactly my issue, but again, I am hoping that along with patch notes there will be comprehensive class ability/trait list so that we can have a better idea. I mean, otherwise we have to mine the info when the patch drops and that just seems silly to leave it to that.
