Even though a small change I'd like the option to bypass the sheath animation. That means with invisible weapon glamour it won't look as weird.

I mean, given we see more content about Doma than Ala Mihgo, that's debatable at this point.
But yeah, I guess that'd be nice, though your request is kind of niche. I think it's fine as is, myself.
Except the start of the animation, where the character cross the arms, it just look as if he lift his fist, that shouldn't be skipped.
Maybe removing the "click" sound?
If previous xpac is any consolation stormblood will be about monks as much as heavensward was about dragoons.
Stormblood is about Monk? I thought it was about Samurai :^)
It's going to be about Monk, Samurai, and Ninja.* I include Ninja because we are going to Doma, which is home to both Ninja AND Samurai. :D
Can't wait for the summoning jutsu!
Maybe not mechanically, but the lore was.
Fighting the Dranavian Horde is pretty much all DRG is about. We also go into the origin of the class as a story focus, not to mention the Eye of Nidhogg playing a central role for so long.
It is true it's not like DRG got special treatment gameplay-wise (like the OP wants) because it was their expac.
What I think of it being themed around the jobs, is just that the Job's lore expands into the central conflict and expansions matches it thematically. It also makes sense that the WoL would change to that Job due to the nature of that conflict while being written well enough so that you don't feel less for not playing it. HW balanced this really well.
sure we're probably going to get some Fist of Rhalgr lore. but the point was, it wasn't like every Ishgardian we met ended up being Dragoons. Aymeric, Lucia, Hilda none of them ended up being dragoons, the only prominent one was the one we already knew was one.
SB was supposed to be about Monk but they have showcased Samurai far more.
Very little showcase for Monk or even Red Mage
We'll probably see more Monk during the Ala Mhigo portion of the expansion. I'm not expecting anything from Red Mage other than its Job Quests. A bit of a shame. If it was a Sharlayan job it could've been the poster class for an expansion dealing with Sharlayan, but as it is, I guess we'll wait and see what they're doing. You'd figure a society built by the survivors of Mhach and Amdapor who combined their magics to create a whole new Mage would've wound up building a new Empire for themselves. There's been no hint of such though. I'm kind of worried at most it'll be a small village of people who always pretended to be humble frontier farmers while hiding their magical arts.
They've stated the total MSQ is split 50% between Doma, and 50% between Ala Mhigo. Doma certainly seems to have a lot more zones and maps than Ala Mhigo, but for all we know, they have some additional maps for Ala Mhigo they haven't shared yet to keep the expansion from being completely revealed. A little something to look forward to. Not sure if Azys Lla and the Dravanian Hinterlands were previewed for Heavensward.
