Well, there is a thread about DF, why don't have one for PotD? I guess this thing deserves all the love we can put in!

My last story: all the healers that doesn't give a sheet about someone else dying in front of them face. But the satisfaction of votekick them at floor 59 and see vote passes instantly. We endured them for nine floors, 'tho...

I have an alt on the JP servers and one of them tried to kick me out on floor 99 because their comment translated to "dislike foreigners" So yeah, almost got kicked for being foreign apparently?

I remember with FFXI alot of the JP players were haters towards the non JP players, so I am not suprised with seeing such behavior. I had a group where two of the players (fem miqo'te) were doing some kind of ERP and the whole run they were trying to make us join their weird ERP session.

I'm an AUS player on the JP database, and unless someone speaks in the chat in english, I do not say a word, as I have been kicked by japanese parties just for not being japanese myself

I can't really blame someone for kicking someone from a group on a Japanese server if they're unable to communicate effectively in Japanese. Unless someone is fluent in the language I'm not entirely sure why they'd commit to playing there anyway.

Ninja shadewalker on me, and then pulls everything he can, because we had people who weren't with enough upgrades to speed run and wanted chests.

No healers. I had to use every cooldown to survive. Lord have some mercy.

QUICK EDIT: Fun fact, you can't remove shadewalker. Forgot to mention before someone tells me to do that.

shhhhh according to most of the people on the ff14 playerbase, Japanese players can do no wrong, the JP servers are better than the NA/EU and they are perfect in every way!

I cannot say much for better, they do a lot of things differently than NA.

This happened to me today. I loaded in to floor 51-60 and encountered my first ice mage. Not only were they an ice mage, they had a macro for Blizzard 3 that said "chill out", with an explicit word. The vote kick could not have come swifter after 5 minutes.

A lot of Australians have no other choice but the JP servers.

Ever get kicked because you used the the resurrecting statue instead of a swift raise? I have. Killed mobs right next to it and tank died right before the mob did. This was on floor 95ish, so those fat guys with the coffins can show up and wreck you at random yet I was kicked for saving my CD when we had the mechanic right next to us anyway.

When people yell at you for wanting silver chests because you're not 99/99 and are working on getting the achievements for PotD weapons.

Just about every run is a nightmare because of how poorly it's designed. There really should be a way to queue for it via the Duty Finder, and an option to queue for a proper team composition (or at least prevent tank stacking or no healer 91-100 runs).

I wiped at floor 189 once to an unavoidable Chimera trio. I could hear our hearts break over discord ;_;

Had an instance like that as well, Chimera snuck up on us while dealing with another mob, before I could do anything both DPS dropped. Discord called it a wipe so I said screw it, ran away as the tank died. I had no aggro so the Chimera wandered off. Raised everyone, took two steps and spawn trap :(

We wiped on floor 198 because the tank didn't want to tank anymore. RIP floor 200. The floor had gloom status which at that level makes all monsters op and makes you seem like a naked level one.

This happened two days ago and I wasn't even the victim.

There's me, blm, astro and I think mnk. Not too sure about the last one. Anyways, we're all playing quite nicely, no one mucking up anything.

Then everything changed when we hit floor 87.

We get to a room that's somewhat loaded with monsters. I say somewhat cause its really a case of ymmv. But the thing is its nothing we can't handle if we take our time.

Blm uses a rage pom. Nothing earth shattering but not really deserving of a rage imo.

Astro pipes up that it was a waste using it. After we warped to floor 88, blm asks why. Thinking he was asking innocently, since we were doing so well and he never gave us trouble I say we had two poms of witching.

BTW, we were loaded with poms by this time. Only things we didn't have much in stock was rage and serenity.

Floor 88 was a gloom room. Astro chimes in that we could've used the pom for this floor. Blm replies something along of that it doesn't matter. Its a response of indifference, worth maybe an eyeroll but hardly anything else.

Well that didn't sit still with Astro. Before I knew it, vote dismiss occurs and 3 seconds later, it goes through. I'm so stunned that it took me like a legit full minute to realize what happened. Monk says he was being a bitch and astro chimes in "yeah"

I said "that was petty."

Can't remember the last time I was legit pissed off in this game. So much things happen in this game that I just let it roll off me or laugh it off because they tend to be ridiculous but this was the first time I was really angry to the point where it took every bit of self control to not cuss them out with every possible foul words I could think of, risking possibly being reported and banned.

Part of me secretly hopes the blm reported them for griefing because if this was a playstyle difference, it was only so before the fact.

I'm a whm. I had an insane drk before that didn't wait for any sort of buffs and pulled the *entire* floor, including mobs from traps. The two ranged dps and I were like "dude, that is way too much" but he kept doing it. So we hung out in the tunnels and picked things off one at a time since none of us wanted to wade into that mess for aoes and die and fail. He would eventually die and we'd let the mobs go back, then rez him and he was off again. It was satisfying kicking him on the 9th floor.

Opening blue chest next to another member or during a fight(sometimes both...)

What is so hard to understand that there is a 50/50 chance it's a bomb and you'll wipe the party if RNG decides to be a troll? Only one person needs to open the damn thing for everyone to get credit regardless of distance. It's gotten to the point where i refuse to open them if more than myself is in the same room as one, i know some brain dead zombies is going to rush over like a fat kid buffet just tripped over their feet and it's the last fat kid left in the zombie apocalypse. Seriously i have seen the fools sprint for the damn thing.

Take your time, finish the fight before you approach the chest. Take in to consideration that there may be a trap near the chest, it could be a mob lure and add to a bad situation. Be the only one to open the chest so if it pops, you don't kill your team mates.

Can't count how many runs have been ruined by such simple minded idiocy.

Rule of thumb to alway follow, is open chest when not engaged (lure), at full health (boom), and not with all party on the chest (wipeboom)
