Unable to complete version check [20458][24530][20457][410]PS4

The game was working prior to maintenance, I log in this morning and get this error code after putting in my user name and password. Can someone please fix this.

I am experiencing the same issue; not exactly interested in reinstalling the game unless I'm sure that will fix the problem.

Same issue here. Stayed up all night for maintenance to end to get on gilgamesh....

Also happening to me, stayed up to get some more game time and now can't even log on, would rather not have to reinstall game. :(

Since 5:45am Eastern Time I have had the same problem. I have changed my DNS to googles 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 but still nothing. I hope they fix this on the PS4 soon.

alright I was able to get in just had to do some network configurations and the update went through if you still can't get on I found this on an older post
Go to "Settings">"Network">"Set up Internet Connection"
Select Wifi/LAN as appropriate for your connection
Select "Custom"
Choose your router name and put in passcode
IP Address Setting = Automatic
DHCP Host Name = Do Not Specify
DNS Settings = Manual Primary DNS= 8.8.8.8 Secondary= 8.8.4.4
MTU Setting = Automatic
Proxy Server = Do Not Use

the original post said to reset PS4 and try to launch but I just launched and it went through. Hope this helps all that still can't get on through the PS4

Is SE going to fix and streamline the update process for future releases so that these login errors and "Inability to perform version check" so that PS4 players are not "punished"?

I've been dealing with this for hours now I don't feel like deleting the game I tried to Google thing it didn't work but I'm still getting the error every single time I go to login and I can't seem to find a solution anywhere :mad:

Getting this crap too, again. Changing dns does NOT work. Get your crap together SE I'm tired of days of my subscription being burned away with out ability to play. It has happened every update since 3.3 for me.

Primary: 209.244.0.3 Secondary: 208.244.0.4

Happy for you Rose, however. No go on my end. As it is. We shouldn't have to eff with your internet settings for a game to work that worked fine previously. SE needs to effing do their job better. I know Free to play games with better update consistency.

Ya this is bull. Ive been trying for hours

Changing the DNS server did nothing

And my internet download speed is at 18 megabytes per second and my upload speed is at 8 megabytes per second so internet speed is not a tissue

my game finally updated! made a post about 2 hours ago and have been trying every 10 minutes or so since and now it worked so I suggest to give it another try I wish you luck

If we're having this much trouble you with just an update I hate to see what kind of drama we're going to have when storm blood comes out and we have to download that

Getting the same thing, Still wont work for me so i ditched it for ffxv will try again in a bit

This, also, worked for me.

I'm going to try it one more time if it don't work this time I'm going to play ESO

I tried everything resetting everything as far as the DNS service resetting my modem even using a VPN still nothing I'm going to keep my eye on this to see if somebody actually comes up with a real fix

Same problem hopefully it gets fixed soon

This is so aggravating we pay Final Fantasy 14 $15 a month to play for 30 days and we don't even get to play for 30 days because half the time they're down they should be giving us days for free

Happened to me as well, and i changed dns settings and it worked. It seems like the problem is with the dns. Just gotta find one that works for you. Google one didnt work, but level 3 did. Maybe looking up different dns?? You can always change it back after the download.

Mine finally worked just kept restarting and login and it started the download

Ah, same problem here, i /seemingly/ downloaded the patch just fine, the ps4 went to the download screen, resetted itself and everything it's supposed to do. Now that i'm on the login screen, it's acting as though i havent downloaded it. It still has the last version/patch on the login screen, not the latest one, and i keep getting the same error upon login. I'm gonna place my bets that the download didn't go through correctly, i'm still gonna keep trying, though. Although it is annoying.

I tried to level 3 DNS after I reset everything still nothing I even use multiple DNS servers
