I'm getting an error upon trying to launch the game on PS4. Wondering if others are having the same issue.

Same issue here. I just decided to say screw it and get ready to sleep.
I am getting this on my Mac. Very pissed because I stayed up all night to get on Gilgamesh after maintenance.
Getting this issue on my end as well; Been trying to to log in for thirty minutes and still no luck; first time having this issue. I hope it fixes itself soon or something. This game aint cheap yaknow?
It usually takes a bit to pop up but this is taking a bit longer
Im getting this on ps4 pro. I wonder if its everyone
I'm getting it too. It looks like the game isn't updating
I play on ps4 all work fine. I got ps4 update before getting ff xiv update.
Usually not everyone. Seems to be happening a lot more recently. Usually the fix is either just wait/keep trying or some people will say change the dns and stuff on your connection through custom settings. Just sucks cause i have work and now ill miss my bonus roulette for the day
The best DNS its google DNS :D
I just got into the game after trying to log in numerous times. It finally downloaded a launcher update file... not sure if this is a patch or it didn't do it the first time. First time I had this issue.
Still no luck on my end
Wouldn't be surprised it's a PSN issue and not SE.
I just changed to the Google DNS and it's working straight away
Google DNS is
Primary
8.8.8.8
Secondary
8.8.4.4
Here's more info about Google DNS, just in case anyone is worried it's fishy or owt :p
Omg it worked with this DNS thingy thank you deer
changed my dns no luck not sure what to do about it
Thank you, mines fixed too. Downloading update as I type!
is there any other fix besdies dns
I created a hotspot with my phone, connected my ps4 to that and started the launcher up, it downloaded the launcher update (the bit 5hat ps4 updates before you login)it's not a huge file if you're worried about data, then I switched back to my normal wifi to download the patch proper, as normal.
I been at it for hours now, from resets, to trying other ps4 in the house, and nothing seems to be working and no official word on forums. Can we get some timeline here or clarification of whats really going on?
Still having the same problem after switching the DSN
I change DSN primary to 4.2.2.1 and it worked!
Nothing is working for me...I think I will just reinstall it. I have fast enough wifi it should not take too long.
I can't even use that option because of the fact that I had to have a buddy of mine use his proxy just to install the game originally. I don't have access to the same proxy anymore.
I had to do 3 things to get my ps4 pro to update:
1) delete the FFXIV system file
2) use my phone as a hot spot
3) change the DNS to use Google
I tried do each individually and they all failed. It succeeded when I did then all at once.
Having same issue.. UGH
I saw this video on youtube with a potential fix but seriously I wouldn't personally do it unless this issue wasn't resolved by SE with a subsequent patch later today. Lots of people have to be suffering from it and they must be working on it.
For PS4

Turned phone into hotspot and worked for my ps4. Nothing else worked for me.
with the end of ps3 support think they could afford not to screw up ps4 users so they need to fix this without us who pay these morons having to jump through a half dozen hoops to get it to work if that the case I'll quit before doing some run around in hope it fix their screw up
I finally got in a couple minutes ago, i tried deleting the system setting, reboot modem/router but nothing worked... even tried Google DNS, but it didnt work... until i found on google another DNS that players used to fix the same problem... a year ago and it fixed it
Level3's DNS
Primary: 209.244.0.3 Secondary: 208.244.0.4
That one worked for me on PS4 Pro and my girldfriend normal PS4. I changed the DNS inside the PS4 network setting, just choose to set it manually, i left default setting until it asked for DNS. I didnt touch my modem/router setting.
I have now tried every single fix in this thread people have done, and nothing! This is extremely frustrating ><, I'm hoping someone else finds a different fix that eventually can work for me ; ; Because I'm not sure what else I can do at this point ><
EDIT:
So it finally took a combination of things, but after putting in the google DNS in the PSN network settings, that's what finally did it for me! GL to anyone else who is trying to figure this out!
