Doma Currency Shower Thought

With traveling to Doma, do you think we are getting a new currency? I mean, housing is not readily available and only FCs can buy land first. I believe a new Doma currency will be needed to buy a house in Shirogane. Walk me away from this ledge. Please discredit my shower thought.

You know, on a slightly related note. Did the Allagans ever go to Doma? Will we stop using 'Allagan Tomestones of Whatever'?

I don't think there will be a different currency other than gil. I do think that the prices of the shirogane houses will likely be higher than the current houses. Maybe something close to the prices Houses used to be when they were trying to drain gil from the economy.

Yup, I see a new Doma tombstone incoming. Not sure about the Allagans to Doma though. That is a lore master question. :)

I could honestly see Shirogane houses costing that much. Inflation is out of control and those prices would zap the economy. Ugh, now I need to grind for more gil with your post. lol

She wouldn't be Rowena otherwise if she didn't.

From what we know so far about Allagan Empire is that it expanded all over the world until they finally conqured the entire planet. It was not until a certain scientist Fed up on the Crystal Tower when their entire Empire was destroyed throughout the entire planet.

I'd be surprised if they did.

Reminds me of how the game still had you using gil when you went to the other planet in FF 9. Universal currency indeed.

Still gil, still some form of hunt seals, still some form of tomestones or at least some sort of special dungeon-based currency.

Worked last time. Not much reason to deviate from that system now.

You must be a little on the younger side. The really old floppy disks were floppy. They started making them out of rigid plastic in the late 80's. They didn't hold much for storage though, and if you bought a PC game or something like that in the early 90's you'd usually get like 5-8 of the things to install it with. Someone who was really into early PCs would usually have a hoard of the darn things that'd look like

Why would housing in Shirogane use a new currency? It's highly unlikely that housing in Shirogane will work any different than it does in other areas. It will almost certainly cost gil to buy housing there and follow the previously established pricing structure. I think you're getting worked up over nothing. The hold back on buying land is just to give people time to enjoy the story before cutting each other to ribbons trying to get a house.

The end game growing hamlet will be in Gyr Albania, so Rowena won't have to travel that far (Rhalgar's Reach). We likely will still be working with allagan tomes.

I think she will be in Gyr Abania, and everyone who want the newest tome gear and is at that time on the other continent have to pay 1000 gil for teleport.

Tomestones look more like ram if we are going by a computer part compassion.

Oh, I'm old enough to know what a floppy disc is. We just never had that many because we were a lot better at recycling and repurposing them (clearly Rowena isn't as much).

I get the impression Rowena will show up all the way in Othard, but she won't be the major player there. Instead, she's going to somehow find some way to enlist your help to topple the master merchant over there.

I smell a turf war.

Just pretend all your transactions are automatically exchanged from Gil to whatever currency they use in Doma by Rowena's money exchange service (just apply a 20% surcharge for teleportation and service fees yadda yadda to the customer, they'll never notice).

Also, now that I think about it, can we get a Sumo tank class? I don't know how it'd work (fat suits?) but it would make me giggle.

I had a Scrooge McDuck sort of thought about new furnishings when I saw this thread title, how disappointing.
