For those of you burnt out of the game, what will you be doing while you wait for Stormblood? I'm personally going to be spending more time RP'ing. I might also try to work on my fitness, and maybe get as fit as my character. What are your plans?

Luckily I got burnt out around the same time that school deadlines became a larger focus, and I didn't have as much time to play. I will have to find something to do for May and early June though, maybe I will work on getting the rest of my jobs to 60 in preparation for 4.0.
Mostly I've been getting caught up on my Backlog of other games, I only log into FF once a day to check retainers, collect maps, and work on any weekly objectives I'm still doing which takes maybe an hour.
I'm playing GW2 currently.
I still have quite a bit left to do in-game, but am better pacing myself to avoid burning out on anything. Getting back into roleplay has been rather freshing though. I barely did any thanks to prog this tier. Come late May though and I'll probably slow down logging into XIV, at least on the daily basis I do now. Few things on my list?
Replay Life is Strange
Finally play through The Last of Us (watched on youtube a lot)
Play through the Mass Effect Trilogy/Andromeda
Play through FFX
That should keep me busy. :D
Helping organize small events and contests in game, doing screenshot shenanigans which turn out to be a lot of fun! It is pretty relaxing when you drop from the tome/gear rush. :) I'm slowly leveling my crafters and gatherers.
Beyond that, working on art videos, drawing more and catching up on some movies I meant to see.
I'm not extremely burn out, I still have to complete A11-12S and get my gatherers to 60, but I am dialing it down a notch. I bought a Razer Atrox and I'm getting back into fighting games, Guilty Gear Xrd is my go to for now.
I've be replaying Fallout 4 and FF7. Also playing alot of Zelda as well.
Testing TESO
Maybe finally unwrap FF15 that I got as an xmas gift and play the damn thing.
Aside from crafting, I am playing other games aswell, finished Nier: Automata, gonna either buy the new Mass Effect or Persona 5.
Final Fantasy XI.
I played that game for the last time nearly 10 years ago and I couldn't finish the story, so I am playing it just for that.
I still have to get my Zurvan bird til I'm really ready for Stormblood - and until then I have tones of games lying around. I finally want to play The Witcher and Darksiders aswell as To the Moon - knowing me I'll get nothing of that done though...
Mainly because I've got a few bigger plans for cross-stitching projects that are going to keep me busy for around 80-100 hours each...
I'm currently leveling my alts going through the story again. Kind refreshing the 2nd time around as there are certain things I already forgot had happened or missed entirely. This time making sure to click on more NPCs to get more dialog and background on the current situation in the storyline.
I got firebird a few days ago so I don't have anything to do in the game now really. I'm still logging in sometimes to talk to friends and hoard crafting mats that should be relevant again in SB, but that's it.
I have a steam backlog to go through. I never got around to finding Ciri in the Witcher 3. I wanted to play the first 2 drakengards, I played 3 and Nier. There's things I can write for my friend's translation website too. Lots of stuff I've been putting off.
I've been trying to get back into the game after being kinda burnt out... I'm certainly not fully geared, but for some reason I don't really feel motivated to do the grinding and work involved in getting fully geared since I'm willing to bet the next expansion will have better and cheaper gear for me right at the beginning =/
That was actually my problem with primal EXs this expansion. I was waiting for the moment where I was going to go, "Yeah! I wanna do primals for weapons!" but all of the weapons looked really... meh to me so I couldn't really get hyped for it =/ Right now, I'd rather do alex for gears for shire weapons, but I have to wait till the weekly limit goes away T_T;
I actually had a break not on purpose but do to some major pc issues to where I went and bought a ps4 to play 14. So I actually traded in my xbox 1 and ff 15 and other games to be able to play this one again. So I cant get burnt out hah now I have nothing else to play, before storm blood Im just gearing up all my jobs with a goal of 250 plus ilvl for all of them
I may get burned out trying to cram alex in before the next exp, its really hard to convenience people to do it and I can see discouragement coming there. So hopefully that wont lead to burn out I still have some msq left, and crafters I left at level 50 so maybe a push to make alot of gil before next exp as well. Only time will tell but I feel like its so much in this game that its hard to burn out but then again many people do tho.
Catching up on unopened games and FFXI mostly....I really should do something productive...
Yooka-Laylee. Crash trilogy remake. Daily jobs and a vacation
I actually still have to finish some farming/gearing with my team, and in between that I'm still doing a few dailies for mentor and relic purposes. Actually looking forward to finishing up my last two relics and job gearing, and knocking out a few more pvp accomplishments, because there are some other games I'd like to play and finish before xpac.
I'm a slightly burned out, so I just do some dailies first before turning the game off and started getting myself scared playing Resident Evil with PSVR (amazing game, highly recommend it)
KH 2.8 and 1.5 and 2.5 but I have been taking a break for a while so I need to log in to cap gear on my jobs level mnk and gear it (for sam gear) and just get latest weapons. Lots to do.
Same thing happened to me when HW was coming out.
When the cap goes to 900. I stop playing.
I Hit the 450 cap from about 2 week after HW came out till 2 weeks ago. When it went to 900 I got 139. And no interest in fighting to hit that cap of 900 a week.
In turn I loss all interest in even logging on.
I never get fully burnt out enough to ever unsub but I tend to play less and do like bare minimum to get my weekly caps on things such as logging on just to do Roulettes for the day. I'm mostly waiting for Stormblood to come out so I have a ton of things to do again. I've been investing time into PVP though more than any of the PVE content but that's mostly because I want all the Garo stuff.
I am the complete opposite. My wifey and I just returned to the game after about an 8 months break. I wish more than anything they would remove the damn caps. I can cap out in just one day of grinding. Not very hard. It makes it hard to want to log back in until the next resets. I am sure there would be people who grind out an expansion in a month and then unsub.
But i think a lot of people would be more apt to want to actually do more. I would love to craft all of the unique primal weapons for my different classes, I would love to take part in fishing with friends. As well as other activities. But doing 20 primals a day, to help friends, when we get nothing in return, kinda sucks.
With grad school and work my playtime is limited, I'm just logging in to do a pvp roulette, manage my squadron, house, and retainers then logging off and playing Persona 5. Apparently it'll take around 100 hours to beat Persona 5 and not that I want to rush through the game but I do want to beat it before SB launch since I'll be all about that when it comes out. Having this real light FFXIV schedule will let me feel refreshed when I come back to the game fulltime in late June.
I don't burn out to unsub levels, but I do get toasty. ESO is my fall back game as it is the most solo-able mmo in the world. No guild drama, very little rp, and i can play as alone as I like and goof off in stupid glamours all day and never hear a cross word.
I might try to finish my (only) relic first, then I'll probably wait some months before even buying the expansion. As of now there's nothing that interests me and I'm fairly sure nothing will change, which means it'll be the usual 450 weekly thing and the usual 4 raids for X months and the usual 24 man raid during odd patches.
But at least I'll get to finish my older rpgs...still gotta finish trails of cold steel II and third is eventually coming out!
I just wish I had the free-time to play this game enough to be able to burn out, so in a ways consider yourself lucky to have enough time, even if it's just a hour a day, to get burnt out on playing a game ;)
Playing my HTC Vive/SteamVR,
Ark: Suvival Evolved,
Minecraft with Vivecraft mod installed so its all in VR.
Trying many other games and attempting to make a VR game for profit.
I'm 155+ hours into The Legend of Kass: Breath of the Accordion, and I'm still not done... I probably won't be back full time until Storm Blood >_>
I've been playing the megaman battle network series as they're all very long lol I decided to go back to my childhood n play em right now i'm on megaman battle network 3 blue. Almost halfway but I also am leveling my crafters/gatherers, don't really have much else to do in XIV till SB sadly. I've also been playing ARK with my friends as well when i'm able to play with em, I was playing Path of Exile but the new season came out it's kinda meh so.
I have Horizon Zero Dawn and Tales of Berseria to finish, then maybe Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 .
I also have a friend who decided to resub and needs a bit of help catching of some content. So, yeah, pretty much it.
