bruh, i live in east london/essex where there's an ass load of corner shops and super markets and there was not a single game master to be found and on top of that i asked the shop owners/ staff and they said they had none in stock to begin with. It's BS.

Because NA ruined their chances with buying product and refunding it during the amazon event. Now it is going to be 10xs harder to get these even if square makes them available.

I only play male characters, so the only pieces that would see use by me are the pants and feet from the male set. Better than nothing, I suppose.

I would love to have these outfits, they look very nice and we need more variety!

It's cute. Depending on pricing, I might buy it. Not sure if I'd do a "jump-through-hoops" promo just to get it, though, like the JP 7-11 stuff.

Sigh. Can we please stop spreading this? Large corporations not only expect things like this to occur, they account for it as part of business. The overwhelmingly majority of people bought something on Amazon and neither they or Square lost anything. Chances are, they would do it again because it's good incentive regardless if some people cheat the system.

I am pretty sure you are basing your argument off dragon tears and lalafel dust. The promotional system was designed for players to buy stuff off amazon. Not make a preorder and immediately refund it and unless you are from square or amazon you do not know the figures to prove your argument.

It is no suprised that in order to get these items for EU you had to buy a magazine and break the seal in order to get the codes. Once the seal was broken you couldn't return it.

You can assume based on this that they did make it harder unpurposely.

What figures are necessary? Even if hundreds of people did that, the reward was digital items which cost nothing to produce, so it's not as if either company lost money because a few jerks scammed for the codes.

Besides, this would be a great time for that sort of promotion, with an expansion coming out soon. I'm sure a lot of people would just preorder Stormblood, which they were planning to get anyway, get their items, and everyone wins.

It matters because as usual a few selfish people went ahead and did what they wanted without any regard to how it would affect anyone else at the time or in the future. It may not have cost money to produce the items but it would have cost money to put the promotion in place.
And you are right about now being an excellent time to do another but if Amazon didn't see the profit they expected last time why would they bother going to the trouble of setting up another?
I would like that stuff though so i do hope they will do something for us too :)

I'm not against a promotion. I would love another one. All I am saying is that square probably won't make it as ideal as the amazon promotion in future promotions.

I really, really doubt it was anywhere near as big a problem as people make it out to be. Sure some people are scammers, and it would be wise for them to include some safeguards this time, like not sending the codes out until the order actually ships (Which was the case with the Amazon promo codes for FFXV preorders), but I can't really believe the summer promotion ended as anything but a net profit for them, since many people did actually buy things.

And again, if they really wanted to deter cancellations they'd get the promo off the ground ASAP so people could get it in along with their Stormblood preorders. You might still get some scammers, but if you want the codes you probably also want the expansion, so there's a greater incentive not to cancel this time.

I searched my local ASDA and got a few copies for friends but I ended up ordering the rest online because it was near impossible to guarantee copies in stores :( Much rather just pay for them in Mogstation tbh xD

They tend to release the older korean/chinese outfits first. So I think we will first see the Angel/Devil set and then see the Korean outfits. I guess, the Korean outfits will be sold 3 months after the Angel/Devil set has been put in the Mog Station.


PS: I agree, I rather see this Korean outfit first, since the outfit looks very good.

I preordered Pokemon Sun (which I was already going to do) and got free stuff for XIV at no additional charge. I could see it working out again as long as they take steps to secure the process so we don't have people reneging on it. I hadn't even heard about people refunding their preorders after they received their items, what a shitty thing to do.

I hope this stays exclusive to Korea.

About this onw though, it's really pretty. I'd already be super happy if they added a skirt similar to that. It just has the perfect lenght between too cheeky super short and too ugly super long skirts we have.

Thing is, they're doing the Chinese cloud mount as an event reward now, but it's the 7-11 promotion event where many countries don't even get an event and most others outside of Japan and the US had to jump through major hoops, except that this year they haven't even said anything about bringing it to anyone outside of Japan at this time. Personally would rather see them stick with the cash shop for these from now on since that's how they were made available to the Korean and Chinese players, and there's now a lot of players who will likely never have a chance at getting a popular and highly sought after mount, and I wouldn't want to see that happen with this Korean outfit. These items are already being sold in the Korean cash shop, I doubt they'd be used as rewards for in-game events here.
