Where's the jobs?

Bahaha, I'm not talking about the battle class jobs. I'm talking about Part-time-jobs! Real jobs that you have to do "work". In FFXI there was a few quests that you could do once a day, like turn all the lights on in Jeuno. That was kinda fun, and only one person could do it a night. Though, I would like to see real jobs come about, like you have to sweep all the porches of the stores, or cut wool off sheep. This would give the players something to do one a day(in game). Along side this you would get a little bit of exp, items, titles! This is something I would be seeing in 2.0, they have tons of stuff on their plate now. Please give your harsh comments, thoughts, ideas!

I bet all of you who clicked it were like ~/facepalm not another JOB thread~ :P trolololo.

if you want to do tedious repetitive work for big big rewards then pick up crafting

The work wasn't tedious, you don't have to complete it either, like in Mabinogi, if you did half the job you got part of the reward. Unlike crafting it will only take like 10 mins to do a job. You can just do it while sitting around town. You will probably say, why not craft sitting around town. Well, some of us don't like to craft, this would just be another activity to do, that we don't have to do. You know, something while we are bored.

I admit, I did enjoy some of the repeatable quests they had in FFXI. I do remember the Jueno light quest quite well. Would always look out for it whenever I was running through the city.

In FFXIV, the Grand Company supply and provision quests, not to mention the Guild tasks are some repeatable quests you can do that have a tangible reward. Not so much jobs in the sense that you are talking about, but something to do regardless.

That is LITERALLY what guildleves are. The Adventurer's Guild is a day labor office.

No, guildleves are killing things/crafting things. If you read my post I said stuff like sweeping, gathering wool, stuff like that.

I would like repeatable quests to do in town, and get xp on whatever class I am currently on. Sounds like a good way to kill time in town while I wait for my sister to log in or whatever.

I'd love more local quests that are actually local unlike guildleves hehe.

This sounds like a cute idea, and any extra exp I could get instead of crafting for exp sounds fine to me.

It would be nice to have a few quick lightly lore related tasks for a few extra gil.

You know, something that isn't:
Go-to-the-same-camp-you've-been-going-to-for-the-last-few-levels-and-kill-some-of-the-same-boring-enemies-till-you-get-to-move-on-to-the-next-boring-camp-where-the-only-break-from-the-tedium-is-to-form-a-party-for-a-dungeon-run-that-holds-no-great-surprises.

It was bound to happen eventually.

Sense Square has a clear plan for improving the game up through 2.0. There's no harm in speculating ideas.

Like you can only do a one job a game day or two. I would also like some jobs only available at night, or during the morning, like if this game had a church. It could also add to the achievement thing as well.

Level a crafting class. They feel like a full time job...ugh...

Lol ya, thats completely different, this would be like, little repeatable quests. That you could do in 10 mins or something. Also, can I ask for a school? That you can only attend at 8:00, this would serve a purpose for a "tutorial" place. With that, you could be a teacher per say, for a job. Don't know how well that would work.

I like this idea quite a bit! I want to have a job for a culinarian where I go around giving people tasty delights and everyone will say "whoa where'd ya get that?" and I'll say "From the baker! FRESH!"

That would be cool give out stuff to like 50 different people/npcs. Like, the more players you give it to, the higher the reward.

I've been reading the forums for the last few days and honestly all this incoming player housing /recipe change / crafting stuff is really starting to interest me. I've never been interested in the past but shit your above idea is GREAT. Once player housing is introduced you could do woodwork for a local carpenter, say building furniture etc. Cool Idea!

I know they have the chocobo escort, but they could add a watching job as well. Where you will have to protect the sheep/chocobo/whatever. This would be a job that would be done at night, when the npc is asleep. He will have you guard his stable. Random mobs will come in and attack the cattle.
