It doesn't really look nice on my character, so my only option is to store it somewhere, which means another 4 item slots gone.
I can't just discard it since it's unique.
Please let us store it in the armoire.

Mhm, check the calamity salvager. If it's in there -> discard.
which 'Warrior of light' armour are we talking about, the one from Labyrinth of the ancients the one based on the warrior from final fantasy one or
the one from 3.55?

you talking about this armor set? or the helmet from CE?
C'mon guys, don't be willfully dense. The OP even mentions "4 pieces" specifically, so there's only one set they're obviously talking about.
So much we should be able to store.
all my WOL sets have 5 pieces but i am going to go on a limb and say Labyrinth of the ancients (which i have the helm for i'll remember why in a bit) in which case, that cannot be in the armoire since that is mainly for promotional or seasonal items (cash shop included)
I was kind of annoyed that you couldn't put it in the armoire, too. I don't like the way it looks on my character, and it doesn't really go with her design at all (though the jacket is acceptable, but the rest of the Scion outfit is just ugh...). But maybe I could use it for parts one day. I know I can go to the Calamity Salvager, but it still doesn't really make sense for it to not even be allowed in the armoire in the first place.
I really wish they would expand on what we can place in the armoire. Like the i90 AF gear. I got rid of most of them, but I kept the BRD and WHM ones. We can put the i45 in there, but why not the i90? >.> And what about other/future AF sets? Like the i200 AF set, and the iWhatever AF gear 4.0 will bring. I'm not asking for them to let us put every single piece of blue gear in there, but maybe at least let us put all the AF sets in there. :/
I also wish we could put clothing items from the Mogstation in there, including the items from the wedding packages. I don't want to get rid of my character's wedding outfit. But I also don't want to have to reserve space in my retainers for it when it's entirely feasible for it to be stored in the armoire.
Kinda miffed the FFX stuff can't go in there either. :/ Maybe they'll address it in 4.0, but I won't hold my breath.
OP's second post states that he can't find it on the calamity salvager, and that he'd be surprised if it was, since it's not tied to the achievement. That should hint enough at which set he's talking about.
Besides, the set is given to the Warrior of Light (player), so it's easy to get it mixed it up with a years old set that uses the same name.
I was completely lost as to what "the Warrior of Light" gear set was until someone mentioned the Scion Set. I agree that it should be armoire stored but as long as it's available somewhere (cheaply!) then I don't mind.
Because the i45 was originally quest reward, only one shot to get it, while i90 was purchasable with tomes and later, with tokens from some 50 dungeons. The latter option still exists. That it is now given as quest reward was added in HW to help new players catch along, much like the soldier gear in further 50 quests.
Why someitems are available for either salvaged or armoire but not both, I don't really see a reason. They both work by the same principle , even the armoire doesn't actually store the exact instance of the item you put there. That's why all repair buff, dye ad other such things as not saved. Effectively you are given a newly created item when you take something out of there.
I would like to see them combined, to one way or another. Either keep just armoire, but add there all items player qualifies for, even if they have discarded them. Save a listing of items people can get (as there now is anyway for the salvager) and when listing the armory items, grey out those that are somewhere in players possession at the time. Then if player discards or somehow disposes the item (augments, relic quest chain) the next time they look into the armoire they can withdraw it again.
Or just keep the salvager but add all items that have been armorable this far.
The poor dead horse has already been beaten enough, but the LotA set is listed as "Light Set" and not "Warrior of Light Set".
And while someone already told me that I can re-purchase this gear at the calamity salvager, it still sucks not being able to put it into the Armoire.
A minor inconvenience, yes, but one that could be solved rather easily (although the way this game is coded makes me doubt it a bit).
I see Patch 3.57 did not correct this issue.
Are people sure it's available from the Calamity Salvager because it's not listed on Garland Tools as being so?
It's there.
