Holy crap! They didn't make the female outfit different for once! Thank god cause this looks awesome.

SE can't really be blamed for copyright laws.
What do copyright laws have to do with anything here?
Actually, y'know what? I dunno. I figured people were complaining about it somehow. I might've jumped the gun there, sorry.
Wasn't there a thread about this already?
Looks like maid outfit is in the promo too. Hope better promo this time.
Pls , 3 way Video game store , Amazon, actual collab in same time in all EU country . There , best ways !
I hope we either get an immediate announcement of an equivalently-convenient offer for all players worldwide or they just concede defeat and put it in the Mog Station as a region-locked limited time thing. The silence so far isn't a good sign.
Haha, no worries :)
The last time they took a long time before officially announcing the NA one, so get used to the radio silence for a few months at least.
They should just pick Amazon again for NA and try to work with Amazon UK for EU so poor EU players don't get the short end of the stick again, making people buy magazines in 2016 wasn't nice, almost no one buys those.
"Japan only", for now.
I have a lot of anime I would love to buy from Hanabee, I'm hoping the team will have Hanabee give out the codes again(probably in the minority there though lol). I can't wait until I can be king of the monkeys XD.
The thing that concerns me is that last time, they did give the rest of us a "we're working on it" during the official announcement, which wasn't much but was something. This time, everything is in Japanese almost like they don't care if we find out about it or not. I could be jumping to conclusions on this but it kind of feels to me like it was really intended as JP only...
Does anyone know if SE has made an official announcement on this new campaign?
Last time the japanese event was around april, our version was around june (around 6/14), so there's still a ways to go if they are going to follow that. Maybe start it a bit earlier to advertise the expansion at the same time. It's also possible they just won't bother at all bringing it overseas but I think I remember Yoshi saying that if he didn't bring the previous items over people would be mad.
I would be surprised if they make one region jump through a bunch of hoops and then just throw it on the cash shop for the others, even though that might be easier than negotiating with third parties.
Eh I hope they just put it in the Mog Station for us so I don't have to buy something I don't want or need from an outside source.
I actually like the mask for once, the Ifrit one I mean. The outfit is ok as is the staff, but that cloud.... I need that thing.
Gotta love how ONLY is capped in the title. It's like you want people to come in and cry over more glamour content.
I like the eastern attire :) Here's hoping we get a campaign/promo started soon too!
Thing is, wasn't the original campaign announced by SE in a JP live letter or some similar event? I seem to remember Yoshi holding up slides for the event with a little short blurb in English at the bottom stating that they were looking into similar promotions for the other regions. We didn't get that, or any kind of acknowledgement this time, so it just made me wonder how much intent there is to release these items to the rest of the world.
IMO they should have just put the items up on mogstation, because regardless that you were able to get them easily, there are still a good many players right here on the same data centers who don't have the items because the campaign never made it to their country. For them it's a regional exclusive that they don't get to enjoy. I'm sure people from those countries would have been glad to finally have a chance at these items, except that SE is going to repeat this whole thing over again and they might still miss out.
If we do get the outfit, for the love of the Twelve, make it able to go into the Armoire! You know what? Make it an achievement so we can buy it back from the Calamity Salvager. Either works! Just don't make me have to stuff it in a retainer. :(
Why on earth would SE do that? They have a pretty sweet gig going already by cramming inventories and "encouraging" retainer purchases as a result. The exclusive glamours are pretty profitable too. More cool stuff that ends up only in the mog station for about twice the subscription price and people eat it up.
Hopefully we can get this promo for 7-11 in the US, for whatever reason I can't remember how we got the items last time but it wasn't through 7-11.
I would pay RL money to get the maid outfit. I started FFXIV after the last event and was not able to get it.
different countries have different laws about contests and promotions.
SE needs to go through a lot of red tape. I wish people would get this before jumping the gun and blaming SE
blame your government for putting laws like this in the first place.
they are cool items, and I hope we get them... but gotta understand how things really work before doing blame game.
btw this is a preemptive psa, as i do have a mild education in how business works. (my high school had a small business management class which did highlight promotions)
UK is as far as I understand a unification of several countries, who has their own laws on things like this.
It is similar to why certain countries ban certain games.
I wish they would do a 7-11 event in the US. Last time they did Amazon for the US but its actually easier to walk down the street to 7-11 and get some drinks.
What!? More exclusives!? How dar- oh, it's kinda ugly. Nevermind, have fun with your glamour o/
A GD flying nimbus. I wish I had that...
If it has to be a physical purchase I hope they choose H&M or Lidl or some other big chain which covers a sizable portion of Europe. Amazon would be best of course.
Interesting how SE went this route again. I had thought they had learned from the first time they did the fat white chocobo mount campaign. Brace yourself for people becoming upset.
UK law is actually more consistent than cross-state law in the US in many respects despite several countries being involved. Your high school business course is great and all, but Square-Enix isn't being blocked from making these available via regional Mog Station purchase or any number of other options because of laws, and blaming our governments won't help the situation. The reason these things are regional in this case (contests are different) is simply because Square-Enix's non-Japanese branches haven't agreed similar local campaigns on the same schedule. It's a commercial issue, not a legal one.
