Hey, what are Saronians doing while we wait for the servers to return?

Since we Saronians are quite unique with our smaller population server and basically knowing everyone on our server, I was curious with what everyone is doing in their sudden free time?

Personally, I've decided to finish some console games I either never got around to playing or forgot to kill the last boss because I was too busy grinding to 50! Although, finishing off Pokemon Black has become my highest priority now. :)

Anyone suffering from withdrawal symptoms? Talking about it helps!

I almost forgot about the new Pokemon games. I guess it's time for me to go buy Pokemon White.

I am noticing that a lot of Saronian's are being shy about using their own official forum. Gosh, guys. I know you're active, don't hide in the woodwork!

On a random note, I am noticing interesting topics on other server forums and I'm pondering about doing likewise in terms of advertising active linkshells. /end random

I think it's helpful for new players seeking a LS to be able to look on the official FFXIV forums, since they may not know about other forums or be intimidated by all the trolls on them.

Could help hook new players better since they'd actually have people around them. I feel so bad seeing new players running around with no LS, seems so lonely.

Ive just been browsing blogs, and now the forums. I didn't like having to sign up again just to use them though, prob why others arn't using them as well.

Oh, and also pokeman :D I choose black because the white legendary on the box looks "cooler" then the other one. I choose Snivy because I like green. So far its going well but that first gym was lol.

If nobody else is interested in starting a linkshell info topic, I wouldn't mind starting one when I have free moments away from Pokemon Black (usually these moments are created by rage while trying to hunt down a good pokemon and being unsuccessful =/).

been workin on my terrible Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 skills. Finally got a perfect online... using the cheesiest combination of characters i could come up with.

Also; WHY DOES EVERYONE CROWD UL'DAH? Limsa and Gridania are nice places to hang out too. Or they would be, if, y'know, people bothered to go. The only place to go for a really good behest is camp Horizon or any of the higher level desert camps on this server. I'm starting to get really, really tired of this desert background guys...

I wonder if all server's make Ul'dah their de facto center of commerce.

For me, I just really prefer the layout of Ul'dah compared to the other two cities. Easier to get around and the market wards are easy to get to as well.

When I played the beta, I started in Limsa since that was the thing to do. I decided to start a character at all the cities and I really fell for the curious storyline of Uldah and made it my starting city. I have no idea why it's become the most popular city, but it's probably due to our low population. I remember when the game first came out officially, Limsa was so packed with people that I renamed it Lag Limsa. Grid used to have so many people in front of the adventure guild with their bazaars it was hard to get inside without lagging out!

Anyway... the linkshell info topic meant a Linkshell List that people could refer to when they start on this server. It would list all active linkshells and people could decide which one fits them best and contact them in game. We have a great selection of linkshells on our otherwise quaint and small populated server, so I thought it would be nice to get a list up for them.

Because Uldah has the best battlecraft leves and previously Uldah region was the home of soloable mobs (doblyns and coblyns). Crafters set up shop where most of their consumers (DoW/DoM) are and gatherers follow suit because crafters need their raw materials.

Either that or everyone has shitty gpus and can't handle the shrubs and foliage of other regions. :D

Also to add Ul'Dah is the center of the map so you can get to LL and Grind walking without wasteing a lot of anima.

So people set up shop there and travel by walking . Now if we had chocobos and the airship was in service im sure people would stay within there home area more. Until Ish is open then that will be the new hub of action ( sorta like jeuno or WG in 11)

Working , and wishing Japan will recover soon.

I also wondered why Ul'dah was the defacto centre of our world, my best guess is the markets being so close to the crystal. really is kinda convinient.

I can't wait to finally see what companies will provide in the game! I'm surprised a letter about development of the game came out so soon. I really appreciate what Yoshi-P and his guys are doing for this game.

March Madness is finally here, so watching my Duke boys slap some people around.

Absolutely gorgeous weather today as well, so I spent some time meandering about with the wildlife.

Have to admit, due to the game being down I actually managed to score an easy A for some class work since I had nothing to distract me. But now I've just discovered a slightly old anime is being fansubbed again... and now I'm hyper and bouncing off walls! WHEEEEE

With the servers down I've been getting a lot more sleep than usual, which is probably a good thing. ^^

Spending time reading blogs, keeping track of a few forum threads, playing with the cats, and watching the news hoping for the situation in Japan to get better.

Definitely looking forward to returning to Eorzea and seeing all my friends again!

Oohhh yeah. Rereading A Song of Fire and Ice, a George R. R. Martin series, in anticipation of the series that's beginning on HBO next month.

If you enjoy fantasy novels with a very real, gritty sort of feel to them, this series is a must.

im playing rift and it look like im not going past the free trial, cuz i cant wait to play ffxiv again, i miss how calm the game is lol.

i been playing a free to play online mmorpg, it's ok.... crosses fingers for the 22nd

I've almost completed Pokemon Black... no worries, I have Harvest Moon games as emergency back up if the servers remain down for a few more days/weeks. I can survive! Long as I have games to play I know I'll stay alive... >.>

I'm also playing Rift.
33 Asassin in a week, since I was also off work.

Personally enjoying the way that the envorinment is constantly changing, vs the same consistant world.

Ammusingly enough my obsession with clicking on shinnies in FFXIV (read DoL), has translated well to Artifact hunting in Rift.

In real life i have actively been looking for a new grind spot, found some eft's that look promising might take the wife and daughter out for a picnic and sneak off to kill a few, in response to withdrawl symptoms i have found that i am coping very well and i have found none......
