Patch 3.56?

Been searching.. When is this getting released!? Everywhere says it will be released in March, but I haven't heard a peep officially.

March 28th

speculation is Mar 28 as its the last Tuesday in March and they've stated 3.56 would be out in March. it's all that's left really.

Do we know what's to be expected in this pre-expansion patch?

I wasn't around at the time during the ARR to HW equivalent, but I assume similar things will occur.

From what i've heard:

3.56 = Story
3.57 = Begin story of Stormblood?

3.56 will be the latter half of "The Far Edge of Fate" and will already be bridging the story toward Stormblood.

AFAIK 3.57 will lead us into stormblood will search for a source.

4.0 will be the stormblood patch, and 3.56 is the leading up to that. 3.57 is most likely a lockout temoval patch as mentioned.

This just mentions there are 2 patches, nothing about 3.57 leading into stormblood, other than it beimg the final patch. it wont have story if thats what you think that means.

Pretty sure 3.56 will be the story leading into Stormblood. 3.57 will just be the final changes to the end-game content before June.

"Two more patches are planned for the game before the expansion launch, both 3.56 in a couple of weeks and a 3.57 patch at some point after that. What exactly is supposed to be in this patch? This isn't the patch where they'll probably remove caps on things and eliminate lore in favor of making it all cost scriptures (assuming they're doing that again), is it?

Conclusion for the Heavensward Storyline
Scripture cap increased to 900
Savage loot unlocked
Sophia and possibly Proto-type Alexandrian gear allowed to be turned in
A trial of some sort similar to Final Steps but nowhere near as hard/frustrating

Pretty much that if they keep the old ARR to HW routine. After that we will have a "hotfix" or "filler" patch (reduction of tomes needed for specific gear via vendor, for people to catch up), with the story going towards the new expansion, to a point were you don't want to wait for the early access anymore and want it to be released yesterday. Plenty of live letters in between, showing you what you can't play yet and you're getting even more annoyed lol. Please look forward to it.

3.56 will be story and will almost certainly be in about a week. I suspect we will see 3.57 and the cap changes in April around the time of a press event similar to how they had last time. Its only about twelve weeks till early access so we aren't that far now from the actual launch (relatively speaking).

12 weeks really isn't that long at all, it'll be early access before we know it <3 in about 6 weeks I should have my new PC, the anticipation :D

^This! I want some good cutscenes with lots of voice acting. I want to feel immersed in the story again. Lately its so quick Im like WTH THATS IT?!?!?!?

Yup, I loved coming across them as I was flicking through the book. No clue whether or not they will suit my hulking Roe, but excited to try them on ^.^
