What is your favorite song in the game, and why?

Equilibrium

The Warrens - the first i ran Snowcloack i litterally just AFK to listen to the song and look all the dungeon details. Even after we cleared it, i ran back to the entrance to visit it one more time.

Loving Sultanah dream (ul'dah night theme) too a really peacefull one i like to chill with.

Smoulder - the one that plays at the amal'jaa (sp?) beast tribe in near Little Ala Mhigo...

Also quite like Answers (of course)

That one asian-y sounding song that plays in Palace of the Dead from time to time, kind of sounts like there's a Sitar in it. I still can't find what the name of that song is

Also adore Footsteps in the Snow, Thunder Rolls, Fiend, Mobius and Rise, The Hand That Gives The Rose, Heavensward, Voidal Manifest, Tempest, Ultima and... I forget the name of the casual Shadows of Mhach theme, but it's very soothing too.

Oh, and of course A Bloody Reunion.

Tempest and Spiral.

I have a few:

• Answers, simply for the fact that it has a lot of memories and emotions in and of itself, T13 for example.
• Dragonsong, very emotional and it's a very "feely" song, if you get what I mean.
• Equilibrium, lots of Bayonetta-style vibes from it, and I really liked that game as well as the aesthetics of the Sophia trial.
• Poison Ivy, it's a calm and beautiful dungeon theme, probably my favorite out of all the 3.x. dungeon themes.
• Close to the Heavens, it's sort of playful but also calm, I really like it cuz it's nice to unwind to.
• Shadow of the Body, another calm dungeon theme. Aesthetics are also nice.
• Promises, it's very eerie and macabre for where it's used, I don't think it particularly fits with how the airship battle happens, since it's set at sunset, as opposed to late sunset where the sun has already gone, would've been much better if it were given a much darker fight.
• Papaya, very playful, probably one of the only upbeat but laid back songs.

On windy meadows.

I heard its technically a 1.0 song, but they did introduce it as an orchestrion roll, so....technically it counts?
Its so nice and peaceful, It's playing in our house :)

Oblivion because everything else is boring.

Unbending Steel - Ravana phase 2
reason: Ravana is probably the best primal imo with just his attitude and attacks and when the song starts its so dramatic and amazing and just adds so much more to the fight.

Backup fav: Coming Home - Vanu Vanu theme
reason: It always puts me at ease and I can just zone out looking out those virtual clouds haha.

FORWARD AND BACK AND THEN FORWARD AND BACK AND THEN GO FORWARD AND BACK AND PUT ONE FOOT FORWARD

Answers is pretty much my top favourite. Nothing beats that epicness. Oblivion is nice too... very catchy.

Equilibrium is also really good.... that singer has quite the voice and it is pleasant to listen to.

Brute justice theme- influence of old 80's mecha anime songs is so apparent, it made laugh first time I heard it

Its the Theme song from the game in your Sig...

The one that plays when you ride the Magitek Mount. I think its actually called Terra's Theme. But its the opening song to the game too.

That was my favorite of the FF games with FF7 being my second.

Tears for Mor Dhona - In palace of the dead every once in awhile.

My favourite is Tranquility.

It plays during emotional moments in quests and I think it's just lovely.

Twilight over Thanalan is also great, if only because it reminds me of my first character and his encounter with "Lady Lilira". :P

Main themes aside, I'd say Skylords, Painted Foothills and Night in the Brume. Beautiful pieces that really capture the atmosphere of the areas they're in, and Heavensward itself.

The Maker's Ruin + Ultima are probably my top two. Hubris is really good too.

I've always been passionately in love with Shiva's Theme. It invokes great thrills and emotion when I'm fighting her.

I have a few that I *really* like a lot.

Contention - the song that plays in a few Heavensward cutscenes, and at all times in Zenith. It's my song of choice in my room. I adore slow piano songs, and that one hits home very hard. It's also a song I listened to on many an occasion while feeling down. Okay, it's probably not a good idea to do so as it doesn't really helps me improve my mood. However, I have lengthy experience listening to this song. I can never get enough of it.

Starlight Celebration - the winter event song. It is so beautiful. When I hear it, it makes my heart warm up.

Penitus - the Praetorium song. Nowadays, you never really get to hear a full loop unless waiting on somebody to watch cutscenes, which is a shame, because the second half of the song is the best! It evokes a lot of latent power.

Fiend & Under the Weight - the theme songs of Sephirot and Titan. If I want something to get pumped up, these are my go-tos. If I had a car, I would play those at a high volume in the summer while driving and promote FF14's music at the same time. :p

Unbending Steel - Ravana's second theme. God, if I knew the lyrics, I'd so recite them during the fight.


A few others I like a lot but won't go as far as to write about individually: Skullduggery, Spiral, Locus, Azys Lla's theme (dunno the name), Woe That is Madness, From Fear to Fortitude, Nemesis, Coming Home, and that song that plays on the western halves of Upper La Noscea and Eastern La Noscea.

Gotta second this. Was a real WTF when I first heard it, and I lost it when the kids yelled "Transform!"

Ton of runner-ups, from Shiva's Footsteps in the Snow+Oblivion, Ultima - Phase 2 (This is how you make epic final boss music), Answers and pretty much anything out of the Coils, Fiend (Why are the lyrics on the orchestrion version subtly different...messes me up) and others...

Mine is probably "Answers" with "Dragonsong" being second. "Rise of the White Raven" being a runner up.

One of my favorites was the song from wanderer's palace hard. Play it loud, it just sounds awesome. I have other favs just so many great songs on this game.
