What do you do in real life? (A Noncontroversial Time Waster)

Just curious what people do for a living away from this game. And also I though it might be nice to have a low sodium thread.


I'm a former nurse turned undertaker (embalmer/cremator/funeral director).

Physio + Psyc. A lazy 9 years of study.

I currently work in Pharmaceuticals but I don't find it interesting at all so I am looking for something new and exciting to do. :3

I work at General motors international and domestic parts operations.

Full time college student working on becoming a History professor, I also run my own Lawn Care company, and I'm a stepmother.

I disabled from a combo of severe endometriosis and a spinal thing that I don't have a diagnoses for yet so I'm usually just at home all day. I'm hoping to go to school to study to be a veterinary technician with a specialization in avian care once I can sit and stand again.

Ballistic Scientist, just start my PhD not long ago, doing a PhD partly because I couldn't get a job :P

Manufacturing Engineering Manager; Martial Arts Instructor (Wado-ryu Karate)

I was working for a company that machined small parts for Chromatography machines. Sadly, I was forced to leave it due to a change in my hours and much miscommunication from management.
I am now looking into becoming an entrepreneur and working from home.

Unionized nightshift product restocker for the grocery side of a cross-country store franchise somewere in Canada called Superstore... someone has to be an NPC for RL

Counselor at a crisis unit.

President and owner of My House Inc.

Daily duties involve lazing around all day and crying myself to sleep.

I am a French law student in final year, I already have a law degree but next year I will attend another study field (history of art)

I'm a switchboard operator at a hospital. I tell doctors where to go when someone's having a stroke or a heart attack. xD

Between jobs, I was a games QA tester for Microsoft but events occured and I got laid off with a lot of people. Decided to pull out of the game testing fields as it has been heavily hindering my recreational enjoyment and passion for video games. Hoping to translate some of that passion to working at a local video game trade in shop. (wish me luck there.) but yeah...long winded way of saying...unemployed ;3;

That's me as well! A full time student as well.

Enjoying an early retirement due to health and take on small art commissions as a hobby. Was formerly a retail jeweller, but could repair certain pieces.

i feel you. i used to do QA for Deep Silver Dambuster (i left before HF2 was finished though!). Got sick of the long hours and crap pay.

I now do QA for Deltek :)

I went to school in Biology and Chemistry, and I end up doing ballistics
school sub dont matter i would say, it just prepare you for future learning and training

I am a student (I am majoring in Psychology) at the moment. I also work part-time as an administrative clerk. My part-time job is fun, pays well and I work with people that I like. During the holidays, I sometimes work part-time doing different jobs, like catering etc. It realy depends on how much they pay. :)

I work for a group home taking care of vulnerable adults it's a pretty tough job but rewarding

You're not the only NPC here. ;-; I work the frozen department at Walmart.

Student going for an IT degree and employee at a Target in the electronics department... It's actually a lot of fun, I get to talk to folks about video games and have gotten a few interested in this one.
