[Dev Request] Raid Roulette

We have the entire Coil series, The three crystal tower raids, the Mhach series raids, and Alexander. I think it's about time we had a Raid roulette to keep these places from staying empty. Return to Ivalice, and Omega Weapon raids would only help make a Raid roulette even more diverse in Stormblood.

I wouldn't want to see Coil in any sort of roulette, it's still too difficult synced for the average person on XIV. CT and Mhach should've been in a roulette already altogether upon 3.5's release, in my opinion. Alexander could have its own roulette ranging from Fist of the Father to Soul of the Creator.

The time and effort required for the duties in there IMO differs waaaaaay too much to put them into a roulette together. They'd have to homogenize it first or risk people just insta-quitting whenever one of the more difficult ones pop up.

A roulette for the 6 24 man raids probably wouldn't be a bad idea, nor would a Alexander normal one. I don't think coil should get a roulette the rewards would not be able to match the different levels of difficult the content has.

So same old? I mean people do that already, what's another roulette to something that is a norm in XIV?

Perhaps raid roulette would work best under the criteria that:

You have cleared all raids (not savage)
You have an item level of 250
You are level 60

Rewards 250 Lore - 150 Scripture.

Of course, this would auto lock similar to mentor roulette when more content is released and when new tomes are changed the reward would change too.

It makes sense to me to exclude savage content but have 24man/8 man raids from ARR/HW but also having the need to make the reward attractive due to difficulty to have a high tome output, otherwise it'd be pointless to run.

I welcome this. Actually, I mentioned it to myself before about how I would like this.

It has been 5 months now, and I am STILL waiting to complete World of Darkness to get that one Aether Oil I need for my next relic step for DRK. I COULD spend the Lore, but I'm using them for Clusters for PLD's Sharpened Relic.

One day on my off, I was in queue for 6 hours as SCH, with it only being me there. Other times, I waited as tank and then dps; I finally gave up yesterday, and bit the bullet to buy the Oil for the 700 Lore.

This is why I agree with a raid roulette. Getting into old raids has been proven way too hard. Hard or not, we need people willing to do them. Cross party finder doesn't help much either.

I would love to see a roulette for the 24-mans in 4.0 since we'll have 6 of them now.

As for coils, although a lovely idea, ErryK is right. Coil content, synced, its too difficult for a majority of the XIV audience. I don't think this will ever change.

Perhaps 2 seperate roulettes? One for high end raids while the other is for the casual raids.

i support this idea, but would suggest a little tweak. Seperate 8man and 24man Raids into seperate roulettes. if you put them into one single roulette the 24mans can probably never pop up.

In all seriousness, synched Coils would need a SERIOUS nerf for this to be viable, if not flat out excluded. Even in full 270 gear, synched runs of Coils can (and all likelihood will) end in failure and frustration due to how mechanic heavy a lot of those fights were.
