How far do you think current Tome gear will carry us in Stormblood?

When Heavensward was released, it had become common to use (Augmented) Ironworks or High Allagan gear/weapons to level from 50, since they allowed us to avoid buying new gear until at least level 55.

With Stormblood looming in the distance, how far do you believe we'll be allowed to wear our Tome/Raid gear before they fall behind relative to crafted gear?

Probably about the same point to be honest. 65ish.

We got stuff at the same ilvl as the endgame ARR gear at level 53 so I would say it will last till about lvl 65 in the expansion.

I will think the next leveling dungeon will drop better then current BiS green gears...

Personally I thing the current tombs/raid gear will get us through to about lv 65/66 same as when hw was released. I think that is pretty fair for grinding for the top gear hw had to offer to get us that far before needing to upgrade it.

Others that didn't work to get the 270ish gear shouldn't just be given an advantage like that compared to ones that hadnt been able or willing to have put the time in for it.

If the transition works the same as it did from ARR to HW, un-upgraded gear would be out ilvled at 64, and upgraded at 66.

If worse came to worst, 68-ish. Pointed out to someone before that the NQ gear bought in Idyllshire (lv.58), when compared to Dreadwyrm Coat of Healing, offered 3 less VIT and 6 more MND. While the dungeons offered better equipment, you were still okay using Dread so late in levels.

2nd/3rd dungeon

I kinda agree, about 64/65.

First HW Dungeon dropped 120 Gear, which rivaled unupgraded Tome gear and final Alliance Raid gear from the end of ARR, and then the second dungeon dropped 130 stuff to rival upgraded Tome and 8-man raid gear.
I'd imagine that it shall be much the same in SB. First dungeon will drop 260 gear, with 270 being edged out by the 2nd or 3rd dungeon. Of course previous gear may remain BiS based on secondaries, but this too will likely be beaten out by raw stats by the 3rd or 4th dungeon.

While iLvl-wise, I think it will only hold up until level 63/64
But stat-wise, I think it will hold up until level 65/66
A piece of anecdotal evidence that may or may not help is that when I leveled PLD, I managed to get to 60 with augmented ironworks/dreadwyrm gear with some drops from the dungeons to supplement some of the pieces

Ima guess the finall tome gear with be ilvl 390-400 by the end of the expansion

I believe it was 65/66 when I finally got to change my gear in HW.

While that was cool cause it meant I could take the healer gear for my WHM, I sort of wish I'd been able to make use of the new gear on my DPS.....but oh well :)

If things are similar to Poetics vs HW gear 55-56 will be a good range to start thinking about replacing, and 57 when dungeon gear is better.

That said upgraded Poe was still good though the Azy vender gear was still worth buying if you still had any left for the final section of the game/to start out doing endgame. I don't see upgraded Scripture being bad for leveling at any point 60-70.
