[dev1229] UI changes accompanying introduction of jobs

Greetings,

I am aware and have read the topic on the new abilities and what they are. What I would like to ask here is, can someone elaborate on how the UI is being changed? I was just curious, thank you.

Nobody can say with any certainty. But from what is listed in the latest developer notes, it appears there will be a new menu option or a new section of the UI that will allow you to change between jobs that are applicable to your current class once the pre-requisites have been completed.

It is likely we will not see this until February when the job patch goes live.

I was under the impression that the dev topics recently released such as this one were for the ensuing patch? This is another reason I brought the topic up because jobs are not supposed to be till the Feb. patch.

I sure hope we get something close to that 2.0 picture. Since we will only have a handful of skills/abilities, I'd like to see them all on my bar at once. Just talking about the placement of the skill bar and how it looks. Everything else will stay the same.

Ok so you see us getting a possible new "Action Bar"? Now that makes more sense. I may just been looking at it from the wrong angle.

That's what I'm guessing. I don't know for sure, but they may be slowly changing to that. The scrowling bar is a big time consumer lol

It is making it all the more exciting to see what happens next. I prefer a good surprise when I log in on "patch day". It's nice just stumbling across new features. However, it is nice to know some things before it comes.

I mean, there have been virtually no screens about the content involving this patch. Considering this is a patch we were supposed to provide early feedback on, it is a little concerning. Perhaps they decided to go for shock value this time instead.

He is quite, but I believe he listed the reason in his last letter. He said that he has been spending all his time on 2.0 which is good news, and that is why we haven't been given any big updates on 1.20... My best guess now is that he is focusing on 1.20 patch as it comes closer to release and we should start seeing more information soon.

Still, 1.19 was hyped very heavy, I'm sure that once they flesh out any issues they are having, we'll start to see the updates.

I can tell it's getting close, because my excitement for the next patch grows daily.

Perhaps they are going for shock value to keep people around? I plan on staying all the way through because I enjoy the game but there are some folks that could look at the patch notes and just snub it off their shoulders. That would bring on the forum anger that we will undoubtedly see anyway once it drops because an individual(s) are not happy with what happen to their classes. I personally look forward to seeing it soon and cannot wait for the changes.

You know, that is true. I do remember him stating that he is working hard on 2.0. I hope to see that patch within the next two weeks.

The produced letter from last week details changes to be made in 1.20 and 1.21, for the community to properly tag their threads regarding discussion on any of the details posted they have added the dev tags for everything as has occurred in the past.
