Not Complaing, well a little bit, BUT asking about Achievement with this new Jump Pot

Will people who just simply paid some money really get the Titles such as Grand Master of War and such? That would make some people like me who have actually worked some hard work to get that tittle feel robbed and make the tittle rather pointless. In fact I would kind of be angry if people who didn't work for them were walking around like silly children, acting like they did so much...

Unless I missed something the potion would only level one job right? If so.. wewh, buying that achievement lol. Unfortunately what would your solution suggestion be? Besides "not implementing the potion", can save that for the thread that already exists :D. Would you ban them from the achievement? If you don't then of course they can get it, and if you do.. that sort of sucks for the person who came in with proven interest (paying money). Perhaps you change the achievement slightly, but if you change it to require significantly more work then you just mess with everyone who didn't get it the "easier way" (older way).

Sort of seems like a "yes, that'll happen" sort of deal, except that more likely they'll level one job that way and the rest naturally - or they really hate their own money. Again unless I missed something and the potion just levels everything up, which would be ridiculous xD.

You will have a new title to hit Level 70... get over it.

There will probably be a new set of titles for lvl70.

Other than that if you don't mind PvP, Makai Master requires all jobs level 60 and an inane amount of PvP (200k+ Wolf Marks) and the achievements are apparently being removed somewhere down the line unless they change their mind so there's that.

Wasn't the potion like 20 bucks per?

I must say I don't really mind if someone wants to spend "that" much money on a title I just randomly got by simply playing. I'd just rather they'd give the money to me ._.

I don't think they'll allow you to pay for all jobs, hopefully. My thought is they will give you the following options.

2.5 or 3.5?
Which job?(Excluding RDM/SAM)

After selecting it will level you to the appropriate level based on what you chose, say you went 2.5 PLD, you would be a lv 50 PLD ready to enter HW. If you pick WAR 3.5, you would be a lv 60 WAR ready to enter SB zone. I don't think they would open the door to allow players to just lv all their jobs by paying for it, it's moreso designed to have a job which you can use for the new content/skip the part you don't feel like playing.

Welll.. there has to be decent number of people willing to pay 100+$ to lvl multiple jobs... ( you can go up to 10)

Someone would have to spend multiple hundreds of dollars in order to get enough potions to get all jobs to 50 (and later 60).

It's time or money. And since time = money, it doesn't really matter which you spend.

Getting to the max level is hard work? Isn't that just natural MMO progression? It's not like they are buying Frontlines/Feast wins or Extreme/Savage/Alex drops.

Cause that's ridiculous.

They should take the time to fix the auto completion so they dont get any rewards, achievements and or titles. But they will take the lazy route and just allow the person to get everything that applies to that one quest, class level, etc. Pretty sad.

So now the title excuse get a grip. This is about as silly as not including minions people bought from mogstation for the achievement "Despicable You I"


Actually give players an achievement for using a jump potion i.e One flew Over The Story" or "Dude Where's My Guild":P

I dunno, like other people have said... If they pay the money to get the title rather than just playing the game, then good for them. It's like many games with microtransactions, they get something they could have totally done for free.

It's not like everybody will take this "easy way out". For the people who do, more money for SE to develop the game. For the people who don't, they enjoy the game for longer.

This is a bit ridiculous and I just doubt SE will do it. Why would they add a detrimental effect to a $20 product that they are trying to sell? "Buy this and get locked out of certain achievements forever" is a very bad advertising pitch. They don't view using a skip potion as a bad thing. WHy would they make it one?

22 bucks per potion. I think it's 45 if you do both and story skip. Regardless it grants alot of achievements. I don't think many people will buy them like we think they will

SWTOR had this situation with the launch of KoTFE which introduced the start at lvl 60 characters, the thing was that these people who used these were locked from getting the Class Story titles like "Master" and "Lord" and all the cool titles you'd want in a star wars game and they couldnt get them cause they skipped all that.This brought up "I want them" posts in the subreddit and forums and of course people just laughed nope you skipped them all you cant get them tough luck.

Its not ridiculous at all! They pay to skip features that they didnt actually do themselves. THey dont deserve anything but the skip. Sorry thats not bad advertising and if anything its a slap in the face to there LOYAL fanbase who actually does the content they create.

Does it really matter? If someone paid $20 for a title more power to them. Money goes to the game and they leveled a character super fast. Win/win.

Ok then give them the title I bought my levels! and I skipped all the story! There we go money well spent and even titles for there efforts!

They should definitely limit the potions to one per account imo.

SE isn't going to keep them from ever getting it because players are too emotionally immature to realize that meaningless titles are still meaningless. Honestly, you think a company that is allowing people to PAY to skip the content actually cares about whether they do it or not? This is just like people complaining about old event items going to the cash shop. SE doesn't care about your feelings over items that don't break the game. We learned that years ago.

Im sorry I totally forgot paying to skipp something always deserves a reward, silly me. Also its not just the class/job titles, its all other achievements linked to story, quests, etc. But im just an immature teen so ill shut up now.

$80+ dollars is a lot more valuable to SE and frankly everyone than your feelings.

He doesn't say that in the translated post from Bayohne. Idk if he has done anymore interviews on it.

Let's be honest. NOBODY cares about "naturally" gotten achievements. There's reasons for and against leveling potions- this isn't one of them.

A good 100% of the achievements I've gotten, my response has been "Oh... neat." And I forget it even happened. After actually looking at the ones that take some effort, I feel like a major chunk can be gotten from just playing the game 2-3 years. It isn't like a single player game where Achievements can actually be based on skill and obtainable in like 1-2 days. Unlike 2000 mentor roulettes.

I could discuss that issue too, because I think that I (and other veterans) have worked much harder for these titles, than people that just started the game this year or last year.

Armor that were given out for successfully finishing coil, on a weekly lockout and hrs of grind and frustration, were added as crafting recipes and are even now dyable.

Getting all your crafters/gatherers up to 50 and getting tools that were months of hard work, couple months later they are nerfed to the ground and everybody can pick them up.

Doing the same in HW and than picking an specialist, just to have these recipes removed from being something "special" and added to "free for all" crafting. Most glamour recipes are added as a drop in potd.

I could go on with my list but my point is, SE makes changes to the game (some good some bad), nothing is forever (well maybe the 1.0 leg. title/tattoo, that might change soon too). If you are getting worked up over a title that wasn't unique in first place, you will have a lot of disappointment coming your way if you continue to stick around. Just forget about it and get the new titles with 4.0

I think we're worrying too much about what others (don't) have. Can't you be happy with the knowledge that you earned something the "hard" way? How does someone paying their way impact you at all? It's not even the kind of thing you would know they did unless you asked them or knew them personally. The achievements in question aren't even hard to obtain, they're just time consuming.

Besides your fragile ego, what exactly would Jumpers being able to obtain these titles hurt?
