Bug: Mounts in Frontlines being resist to bind/heavy/pushback

I was under the impression that every hit on mount gives you a 20 second Heavy debuff, no matter your DR and it resets the 20 seconds every time you get hit on mount.

Since this patch, it has been changed. Not sure if it's a bug or intentional, as right now being hit on mount gives you the standard Heavy duration (not 20 seconds) and will resist after 3 times.

Pushback isn't even working, see the video below. The first clip is right when the match has started so there is no possible way this person has got hit on mount or off mount.

There's been a couple threads regarding this already and yes it has been changed since 3.5 so that you can resist CC even while mounted. Given how long it's been allowed to continue I'm starting to believe it's actually an intentional change and not a bug but I don't think the patch notes in 3.5 ever referenced this change. If it is a bug then it actually lends credence to the daily growing crescendo of players voicing the opinion that SE just doesn't give a sh*t about pvp. I don't think they fixed the dragoon Garo title either if I'm not mistaken. PVP fixes always seem to be low priority to both address and implement.

It's a bug or a cheat or they could be using fetter ward?

I started PvPing in shatter for a ton of matches since 3.5 and never saw this problem. And there weren't any threads for this at the time either. I'm certain this is either a bug or a cheat.

Someone @ me in Discord with more info they have been testing - it's what happens when you bind someone on mount. It causes the DR to totally resist.

There was a thread about this on the very first day of the patch going live lol. Just cause you didn't look at it doesn't mean it's not there. There is also another thread in the first page of the pvp section started by guesswhat. Anyway no it is not a cheat, it's either a bug or an intentional change by SE.

It's not a cheat. Unless half the playerbase is cheating that is.

I always seem to get heavied on my mount, boo hiss. I'm not lucky enough to get away without it. XD

It's probably unintentional. I can't think of a single instance where an intentional change like this was made without mention in the patch notes.

Yeah, keep getting "Heavy Resistance". And no effect when binding -> knockback (when I've used glory slash, blank and blast shot). Seems intentional.
Mounting in frontlines should be punished, not encouraged. I honestly thought people were cheating smh when they just rode off.

Seriously, can someone explain the issue to me like I am five? I'm not saying anyone is wrong or making it up but I've not experienced it so would like more information.

I got almost endlessly heavied/stunned last night by a coordinated group of (I think several dragoons - I saw Spine Shatter) & didn't develop resistance. Okay, it was about 5 times but it felt endless in a fight! When I got on my mount I didn't have slow/heavy disappear as others have stated, it was still there. The same applies when getting off a mount, the status remains.

I wonder if part of the change is that pets used to remain with you when mounted so could affect any statuses if they had the ability (eg Selene). Maybe the change to pets & mounts had an unexpected effect resulting in what others are seeing.

The game would be unplayable if mounting was banned. If you have only played Shatter you may not understand how vital they are in other modes but if I had to walk all the way between nodes at Cartenau I'd not play.

I never said anything about banning mounts. I don't think anyone would enjoy frontlines if mounts were banned.
I'm talking about using mounts to escape from a battle/fight. It's supposed to be a gamble. It can result in your survival and not feed X amount of points.

I've had several times the last couple of days someone mount up and just run away on lowish health, kinda kills the fun of PVP when you can't actually fight

I think this also sometimes works with slow. I noticed sometimes I feint someone on mch and they don't get slowed.

Did mounting remove HG etc before? o.O Kind of blows my mind that I never really thought about it

This problem is really annoying since it rewards people for chickening out of a fight. Also pushbacks not working is also really annoying.

This isn't a game breaking issue. Maybe bring up something more urgent. I don't mind this if it's intentional.

That's an odd sentiment O.o Trivial, or not, bugs should get reported.

But anyways, it was moved to "accepted bugs." So yeah, sounds like it was unintentional and they intend to fix it.

I noticed it right after ther Garo event started,
honestly before the Garo Event it was all way harder to find someone riding a mount in front of you careless of the heavy mechanic if hitted and so someone said me "maybe if you get heavy resistance before it will protect you even from that kind of heavy"

I have found warden's paen not popping sometimes and then popping for second debuff. But I see bard didnt have paen up. Might be when people complain about lag. Wouldn't shock me if some skills registering and not. But I had a BLM mounted in roughly the same spot bound and push with no affect. Am I missing a skill BLM would have let them escape a pushback?
