0. To all the hackers out there, I am dirt poor, kthnx.
You're from jenova, so I think you have a good idea how much I have. :P
*bursts into tears*
10 million less than this morning because I couldn't resist the poncho anymore...
I hate my spending habits..:(
Only about 7 million, but I don't usually go out with the intention of making money.
Yeah the dyeable one xD Had the regular one day 1, but couldn't spend over 20 million on the dyeable one/the mats for it.
Now wooltop drops a lot so it's cheaper but the stuff from airship ventures is still several million per piece and you need 3, so..yeah >.>
I'd be rich if I didn't buy so much glamour gear and housing furniture all the time.
Enough to last me until the game shuts down. Gil is practically useless in this game as it is anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm poor. Because 1 I bought a small house. 2. I'm trying to speed up my higher tier crafting. ... it's not going well. So like last expac I'll be barely surviving on whatever quests give me.
None.
I need my glamour prisms..
wehn we are going into stormblood ill let you know. that is still half a year away. my number will be very different by then.
I have a tendency to spend my money a lot, so I won't be surprised if I don't even make it into 4.0 with half a million gil.
"Gil is useless anyway". I hear that all the time, but strangely only ever from the people who have so much they never have to worry about it running out
I don't hear it from the friend who got super excited when he found a vacant housing spot, than had to watch someone else take it because he couldn't pay the initial price without the reduction that comes with time. I don't hear it from my glamour enthusiastic friends who longingly have to stare at the things they'd actually like to wear for months while instead having to wear something they hate because they can't afford said glamour, or from the one who tries to collect all minions in existence (even the merchandise ones) and who could never get the Diadem falcon that cost 120 mio before the last got bought and now it's unobtainable.
Not trying to start a fight or anything xD
It's just...that sounds a lot like really rich people in real life who say "Oh, having money is meaningless, it can't buy you happiness anyways." While any poor person would love to tell them that their life would be a whole lot greater if they actually could afford a warm jacket in winter, and would not have to go beg their landlord to not kick them out every month because payment on rent is late, or how amazing it would be to have food all throughout the month instead of just water for the last week, how much easier jobhunting would be if they could afford a phone, etc., etc...^^
And yes, I understand that having 20 apples when the most I could ever need for my apple pie recipe is 3 makes the other 17 pointless, but telling "having apples is meaningless" to the one who has none and could REALLY use 3 apples right now for his recipe is kinda...you know?xD
@Atolli
I agree, because I do it all the time. I never have to worry about Gil running out because it's literally enough to last me for years, and even now, it keeps increasing. Also, not to sound like a negative nancy, but it's normally the hyur characters I see it from. (Myself included)
So yes, you are absolutely right about everything you said. Gil is far from useless, and I doubt anyone can go a week with 0 Gil in their account, it's not logical.
By the end of the month, I will be starting with gearing up my crafting and gathering classes, so I think by the time Stormblood releases, this gif will answer your question for you.

About 7.8 million... Only because I've been leveling all my crafting and gathering classes at once, so I spend next to no gil on mats making all sales purely profit. The occasional expensive venture reward helps too.
Enough?
Like 18 mill on my main, 9 mill on my first alt, 2 mill on my second and third alt, then only like 400k on the others.
I really just try to avoid spending it, so it slowly accumulates.
About 800k, but I really have no reason to make gil.
I own 3 houses (actually 4 ATM, but an ALT owns it and I'm letting it go for 1 lucky random that notices there's a house up for grabs- the goblet really has poor large house scenic views :<). I have all the glamour I currently like (sans the Native American regalia). What's the point in hoarding it other than for the sake of hoarding it and 'what if...?'
600K lmao. I'm very lazy when it comes to making gil. Plus bots undercut all my gathering efforts sooo yeah. </3
Been trying to hoard gil to get a house in The Goblet one day, but I don't think it's ever happening. D: Maybe the new district coming with the expansion will free up a space lol.
15 mil on my alt. Not nearly as much as I had going into 3.0. I don't think I've actively tried to make gil since before 3.0 though.
Why let other people enjoy the content when you can have everything.
I have 6 millions, the only way I have to make gils right now is sell cherry blossoms, since Savage or PvP doesn't give anything, and atleast the cherry blossoms doesn't require any kind of effort. There should be more ways to make gils for the people who only wants to play and enjoy.
Early 3.2 I've got 90m and decide to stop making money.
Have bought 1 s-size house.,some primal barding when it was fresh and out of my specialist.
And today my gil is still 90m...
Had 20mil a few weeks ago. Sitting on about 5mil right now. I only ever really care about gil when there is a glamour or barding I want. I'll save up, buy it and then couldn't care less bout my gil till the next thing comes up.
500m
Hopefully the new housing area is like bibiki bay from xi...i wanna move.
80m. I have a lot (imo) but I haven't really made much for a while now so I'm only spending, never gaining. Always a dangerous game.
I'm so poor I have to make the decision: to use teleport, or repair my gear.
But at least I have a medium house with nothing in it, lol.
17M and climbing slowly.
6.3m slowly increasing lol. took me like a month to get that from 1.4m gil making is a slow process for me sigh
5mil in liquid assets and about 15mil in real estate and furniture. Probably gonna try and earn more for SB when I ride the next fad wave pre expac.
Sitting on 13mil atm. I've been too lazy to craft to make more money. I probably should get to it since I want to head into stormblood with at least 50mil.
Enough to last until the next expansion, though depending on where the new housing area is.. That might change a bit lol xD
Sadly yes, not much we can do about gil sellers posting on the MB. Maybe we'd need the team to help us help them by impowering the community more. Quite frustrating when you see RTM bots spawn right infront of you to turn in some quest (even seen them turn stuff @ grand companies desk) then disappear because you can't report them on the spot due to ONLY being able to do it from the chat box =/
Agreed, Sadly gil has almost no Value outside of the Market Board & Housing.. Things you actually want are locked behind other currencies, GJ with that SE I guess ^^d
2 mil, but im not very proactive about making gil so much ie maps, gathering etc.
About 8.5 mil at the moment, will probably have 11-12 by the time Stormblood is released. Also have a Lavender Beds cottage that I haven't used in months, so there's that...
I'm sorry but this made me laugh. :D I'd help you with some furniture if we were on the same server.
My gil is pretty low right now because I'm too lazy to make the required items for crafting quests and because I recently bought the last furniture pieces I wanted before Stormblood brings new things. I'm hoping to make some money by gathering during early access.
about 3.9M on me & 1M as emergancy funds with my "Glam Storage" retainer never really get higher than that as I just "recover" back to it if I buy anything on MB most I ever personally held was 66M to buy the Med Lav beds house for FC (Friend had to mail me the money when I was offline & trade the rest as I logged in mid-mailing... thought he bought it from a RMT at 1st but learned he was in a ex-2.0 Run selling group, can't say were their costomers get their gil, far as I can tell he ant with them since 3.0 thou)
