from the look of things we are only get one new thing to play, red mage.

what you think of this?

Bruh at this point so far, its practically confirmed to be another job coming. It's likely Samurai.

if you look at the pre order there things only for red mage. don't think they will just add more later :)

Even if such bonus exists, they are not going to spoil the second job by displaying related items in the pre-order before they officially announce said job. Then what is the point of generating hype for the announcement?

And? What's your point? That doesn't mean anything. If they included items in the advertisement for the new job(s), then that would completely defeat the purpose of saving their reveal for Fan Fest 2017.

It quite clearly says jobS, there was a post that there would be at least two jobs, and Yoshida has said they will reveal more about the new jobS in Frankfurt. They have confirmed at least two jobs... the lack of a bonus listed in the pre-order does not magically invalidate confirmed information.

The collector for Heavensward came only with the Dark Knight helm.

They may bring more items out once the new jobs are confirmed or they may not. Either way we are getting at least 2, hopefully more. Is speculation of possibly new DoL class floating around.

a helm all jobs can use.
not all can use a sword.

I believe there will be three new jobs with the expac. I don't believe this hogwash of them not doing three new jobs any more. Unless someone can fish up info where SE says they are definitely only gonna do two new jobs from now on. I will never believe in the only two new job hogwash.

And I have seen promo pictures of a Sam for this game linked from someone else in the forums. So I know Sam and red mage will be in.

Also from past experience. They never mentione anything about a third new job untill it gets closer to the launch of the new expac. So yah I believe there will be 3 new jobs.

We still have no guarantee it's SAM. And the pictures you refer to I'm almost positive are concept pictures from back when they were going to release SAM instead of DRK.

No the pictures I refer to are all together with other Stormblood pictures. So no it is not the same.

Not to mention it was under a heading of Stormblood media pictures.

Somehow I doubt that as it'd ruin the whole surprise of EU FanFest.

If you don't believe me look up the post on these forums called so what's this... Stormblood speculation and hit the link there and browse through all the pictures one will look exactly like a Sam with a dual sheath.

The reason why the collector's edition/pre-order bonus/whatever has Red Mage stuff is because Red Mage has been asked to be put into the game for years. I'm pretty sure the excitement around the job was felt in the development team as much as it was by us.

We know for sure that we are getting at least two jobs, what the second (and possibly third ones) are is uncertain until it is announced later this month at the EU Fan Fest. Since the second job (and possibly third) job(s) haven't been confirmed yet they wouldn't give any hints in the CE/pre-order and risk losing the big reveal they are going to have in EU as the confusion around the Spiderman shirt and it's intended job is still very much a thing. It makes sense that the items included in the bonus would be around Red Mage as that's the only job that was confirmed before the launch of pre-ordering. That's why in HW they only mentioned Dark Knight and not any other job since DRK was the first confirmed job we had.

Well, Heavensward did something similar it came with a Wind Up Kain and a Baron Helmet and who wore that helmet? Dark Knight Cecil. which had some significance because Dark Knight iirc originated from Final Fantasy IV (It was added later in III remake for DS) they're just doing the same with this with the Wind up Bartz and the Chicken Knife.

Wind up Bartz? Mimic/Freelancer 3rd job confirmed.

It's more than practically confirmed. It wouldn't make sense at all to show "a hint about the 2nd Stormblood job" if they weren't sure there was going to be a 2nd.

Back at the NA fanfest SE made a tweet that said something like "yoshi-p announces 1 of 2 new jobs" which lately they deleted if I remember.

There's still like 4 months left for them to reveal new classes... And there is the EU Fanfest coming up soon, where they most likely will reveal new stuff for the Expansion.

Because until the EU Fanfest the Red Mage is already confirmed, while all what we know about the 2nd job is a Spiderman T-Shirt.
Wait until after the EU Fanfest to see the 2nd job in the preorder information.

There haven't been any official promo released by the dev team or leaked from the dev team about any new job other than red mage.

3 job ? I thought there was only 2 new jobs o.o

In some interview, Yoshida said there will be at LEAST 2 jobs for 4.0, but they had plans for 3, and it was dependent on how long it would take to finish the first 2, to see if they had time for the 3rd.
He said chances are they should have enough time, but there's a small chance they wont.

Then along came the RDM tease, which hints to us they didnt have enough time to announce RDM at the 1st convention, as they waited for the 2nd to reveal it, and the 3rd con will reveal the 2nd job.

Then of course is all the deleted threads about finding information on RDM and SAM, and what level their job quests are in the data files in the 3.5 patch.

We will see 2 jobs, its just unknown for certain if we'll get a 3rd.

I actually think the dev team worked through Heavensward with Samurai and changed to Dark Knight at the last minute, and shelved samurai ready prepared until stormblood. Ravana is clearly a Samurai for example, and the way he changes from tanking to dps stances reflects exactly the frustration over whether to make samurai a tank or dps!

And I believe the spiderman reference to be blue mage.

Therefore it would be quite exciting and possible for both sam and blu to be revealed at EU fanfest!

Cant wait to see EU fan fest :)

Even if we had only 1, it would be great. some games go 1 or 2 expansion without having new classes or job.


What they need to do is tweak the current classes and stop making new ones.

It's samurai with two different soul crystals that you can choose to be a tank or a dd.
