Why is the dragoon title "Dam" ?

All the others have more interesting titles like "makai scholar" but what am i supposed to think seeing "dam"? dam, another dragoon is tanking the floor???????????????

Oh, there was a dev post about it. It's a typo. The character's name is Dan apparently. They're gonna fix it soon.

I like the Dam title.

Its "Dam" as in when people see you across the battlefield they go "Dam not this guy again." I thought the title was kinda funny myself I'd rather they keep it instead of changing it to "Dan." Though once I'm done with the event I wont be using the title anyway so I guess its irrelevant.

They fix the MSQ title because of spoiler but they didn't fix the DRG title till now lol

It's the final fantasy equivalent of "Damn, Daniel!"

The dev post never mentioned it being a typo, nor does it confirm a fix. Koji simply said that it was a title provided by Yoshi-P, and that he'd forward the title change.

The thing is, it's the name of the armor in the show. It's Dan. ダン, specifically. That's how it's written in all their media, 白夜騎士ダン (Byakuya Kishi Dan). You can view the cast page at https://www.bandaivisual.co.jp/garo/cast.html, it's in the blurb about the third character listed (Tsubasa Yamagatana, the guy who wears the Dan armor), and then has its own listing further down the page:
