Please, I need that mount :D
Unlikely. Collabs don't usually return to the game. 1 time events are, in most cases, 1 time events.
It can stay dead. No one should endure that grind again.
From another game that does similar crossover events: It's usually licensing issues. They license to do the event 1 time and if they were to ever bring it back, they would need to negotiate that.
At least, for crossover stuff. For seasonable event stuff, well, SE likes their cash shop.
It was a good idea but poorly implemented, nobody liked spamming hundreds of fates for glamour gear.
The Lightning Returns event items were put on the <ogstation once people started asking, so...maybe the Yokai items could show up there...maybe...Granted there's no way there's going to be as much of an demand for the items to be placed on the Mogstation like the XIII items were. >x>
I hope it don't come back, unless they do it without the fates....
could be like the lightning event at some point they will add it to the mog station giving those who miss it or were to lazy to do it to get the items
Agreed -- I enjoy playing FFXIV a lot HOWEVER this was the first and only planned "fun event" by the development team that got me to throw in the towel... Fates are only a small part of the game despise... That being said I truly wonder where, when or why it was ever considered a good idea to implement that type of game play or grind. Is it a clone from another game? I miss the NM system from the predecessor.
Again, just a thought, love the game in general 9/10 -- please don't destroy/burn my house down for bringing up 'you know what'.
I mean I enjoy events but you'd think we could get an event like that where we get points (or tokens/chance to earn) from just doing daily stuff with the minion out. I don't recall the exact story of the Yokai being here, but like the idea of doing fates, playing games, crafting or just normal day to day stuff we would do anyway with a chance to reward as well. Then of course sure, some people would still come along "Fates are faster!" but over the 3 month period I am sure I would have had more weapons than just 5. Also to mention that you pretty much had to cus after the first month or so fates died down and pretty much had to solo them.
Just my main issue is, if they plan to do another event like this. Give us more options, even if its just a "let them explore the world with you or teach them about it"
The event lasted so long because it isn't coming back. If you missed it, you're sol. Also don't count on it in the mogstation. Yokai watch isn't owned by SE.
While I didnt care for the actual Yokai part of the event, I had a blast leveling Pld from around 30 to 50+ grinding out those fates with other players. It was fun running around Eorzea and joining spontaneous battles with others.
While I would prefer the event to be something other than Yokai, I would love to see another FATE based event again!
The starting point of this event was at the same time they did one of those free days promotions for new people to try the game. It was just a tactic to make the world feel more alive for the new people at the expense of creating one of the worst events they could have ever done for this game and probably giving the yokai bad publicity (since this event every time I see something Yokai related I try to avoid it completely)
Please god no.
That FATE grind was horrendous to the point I just got whatever minions I needed for what weapons I wanted and refused to do anything more than that. The mount was ugly anyway.
(I'd also rather have more FF-based events than all these silly collaborations with non-FF franchises, but maybe that's just me.)
Yo-Kai "event" burned me so badly that I haven't touched FATEs ever since.

Was it worth it? How much is sanity worth anyways?
Yo-Kai Watch is actually a decent franchise but this event was not a good way to introduce it to people.
It's like they wanted to do the Yo-Kai Watch event but planned, designed and implemented it at the last minute
"Shit, we left it too late what do we do?"
"Just make them grind fates"
The cutscenes with whisper had some nice throwbacks to the game and anime I guess, only good thing to come from it, that and Blizarria.
It was a glorified Atma grind bumped up to grind level 10 and hated by many. At best, they'll add the minions and mount to the cash shop.
Oh gawd, hell NO! >_>
That was more a advertisement campaign to something unknown! >.>
It was the 1st event since I play I did not paid attention at one tiny bit!
The event was actually requested to be that grindy by the Yokai Watch guys, it wasn' the XIV Dev's decision.
