Season 3 end date?

Just wondering when season 3 ends, cheers.

When 3.55 comes. Sometime in February - Not sure if the exact date is set yet or not.

Probably end of feb since eu fan fest is mid feb.

Oh, is that when everybody come back from their camping trips?

Feb 21 or 28th

Season 3 and season 4 are much much longer season then 1 and 2

Season 3 is not going to end during eu fan fest? Lol, that makes eu players who attend fan fest not being able to play season 4 and be behind. So yes, season 3 and 4 are extensively longer then past season.

Already confirmed there will be preseason with patch 3.55 before season 4 starts to test the new feast map

OP asked if there was a known exact date for the end of season 3. SE has not given an exact date for 3.55 which is the end of season 3 besides confirming that it's in February. /endthread. Guesses do not constitute as "exact" when you don't even know if you are right or not till its announced.

What we do know however is EU fan fest will be mid Feb and 3.55 will come after EU fan fest. So you are looking at Feb 21 or 28 and my guess is Feb 28. Keep in mind SE needs to drag out the content as much as possible since they don't really have much plan until 4.0 stormblood. 3.55 will introduce more MSQ and rework diadem and 24 ultima, thats it. 3 more content.

The window is late Feb - to - Early March. Just wait for SE's announcement on black week! :o

I guess the only one possible date left is February 28th. Patch 3.55 is 'some time' after Fanfest but still in February. It can't be 21th because there will be a 'blind' week and they announce it in advance. Looks like everyone except me will be in the final Top 100 again, its so hard to climb as a tank, the only chance is to ride a winning streak which is so rare.

Play Monk. Melee has the highest carry potential. Or just War if you insist on playing a role with minimal difficulty but your trade off will also be correspondingly minimal impact on match outcome when compared to the other 3 roles as a result.

I dont play melee well. I've actually started the season as a ninja and played it till I got 100 wins, but that dropped my win rate to early 40s. The amount of failed LBs was staggering, because of stuns, attunements, out of reach, on full health, or because I noticed Testudo icon too late. It was not fun and I was guaranteed to die first 30 sec every match even without blood for blood. Now if I'll start monk from zero I'll only lose ratings because mastering job requires time, something we dont have much left. So I'm playing a warrior because of mix of easy gameplay, fast ques and everyone ignoring me, at least till I get 4 stacks. But tradeoff is RNG roulette of who'll be in my and enemy team. Around 1800 points rating is starting to backfire because if I'm highest rated in my team then the enemy team will likely have higher rated dps who are more influential than a tank.

Such is the life of a melee, you either kill the opposing melee or are killed yourself as the first death of the game assuming the healers aren't new/inexperienced. This is part of the reason why ranged and tanks are so much more popular than melee as ranged are given defensive buff 95% of the time at the start of matches and tanks are generally ignored unless they accumulate more than 4 stacks. As you said its probably too late now to learn another job but if you bother with season 4 you could consider lvling/using a ranged. MCH or BRD best bet maybe, with BRD requiring the least amount of skill thus quickest job to pick up and learn in there. I'm not sure on MCH I left mine at 55 months ago and don't plan on finishing it anytime soon. Beware the queues though, idk how it is on Chaos but the ranged queues are straight garbage here on primal compared to melee which is why I just keep queuing as DRG (I know i know loldrg queue as mnk or gtfo) .

Because Part 2 of main scenario is not in patch 3.55. It'll be 3.56 or 3.57 in March.
The Diadem, Proto Ultima, Zhloe and new Feast map will be in 3.55 before that.
