Can we give the developers a round of applause for the companion changes?

I know getting it earlier would have been better, but after hearing it might have taken a ton of work to get it implemented, I'm glad we have it now and we can go forward with this amazing change.

For those that don't know already, your chocobo doesn't count as a party member now and acts like a summoner pet. Allowing you to queue for things and join parties without dismissing them.

it's my favorite QoL change. It just feels so natural.

I haven't actually tried it yet though I have ment to, so question: When you go into a duty does the companion auto-withdraw or do they stay around once you return?

Not sure, I would imagine they go away. but they might wait for you

It stays. you don't see it in your party list, but once you get out of the duty, it reappears. So you won't have to resummon.

it does the same thing whenever you get on a mount as well.

The only downside: No minion at the same time =(. But it was already like that, so i can live with it.

While I feel like its 2 years bit late and never use my chocobo anymore (whats the reason with everything at 60?) I welcome it for new players

Agree with OP. It's a really nice change, kudos for all the effort in making it possible! Now if only we can summon the chocobo from the stable when it's not under training... I don't like to have it empty but we can't summon it while it's stable. T-T

I don't know the reason why SE didn't make this change in early 2.X, because it is extreme obvious

Honestly probably my favorite thing from patch. For all the little odd jobs and such, just having that extra damage whenever is....nice. Yeah, was overdue but better late than never,

Applause for what? doing their goddamn job like they supposed to do since so many years. I think they should apologize to us for delaying companion fix.

Wow, I suppose you think content just falls out from the sky in a matter of months huh? Anyone that knows coding will tell you that editing existing code while adding new features is always a hassle, and the fact that we have wanted this change for so long and only got it now should show how much of a struggle it must have been for them to get it to work.

Yeah it's their job to make content, but nobody said it was easy. I'm just wanting to show my support for the work they did, because it was NOT as easy as just changing a few numbers or anything.

whats the reason?! they help kill things quicker if you are doing fates or leves for anima stuff. any few seconds quicker is a bliss. Also hunts. don't forget hunts
