This has been bugging me for quite awhile now. I seem to recall the devs saying that we would be able to enter Ishgard by the end of the summer; it is going into winter now, and as far as I know, the gate is still shut. any idea if and when this might happen?

Well, I checked the official roadmap, it mentions dragon battles in defense of ishgard, but that really doesn't mean we'll be allowed entry, after all, we had to got to Owl's nest to gain entry to the darkhold. I was kind of hoping to get a little bit more info about it.
edit: I can't remember the exact link, I only remember that it was during the summer, between mid May and late June -

It's suppossed to be a battle zone, i was hoping for it to be a garlean stronghold where once your whole server charged it you could gain entry

There, as I said before has been mention of an Ishgard Defence, this could be part of what Yoshi has planned for it, but I can be sure the whole of Ishgard will not be a battle zone.Quote:
