So about dem new Relic Quest...

So I understand as the descriptions say just do stuff as you usually do to increase the aetheric density, and unlike 2.x it's not specific activities but apparently everything you do contributes to it.

I'm just wondering how you can actually tell on your Glass that you're progressing as intended. Anyone notice anything?

Also I assume you only need one newborn soulstone for the quest and no need to repeat it unless you have other relics to work on right?

At the end of stuff you do it'll say something about "You have gained meagre aether" or some such. The glass for the anima won't actually tell you you're progressing until certain milestones, such as you reach xxxx amount of light, so it updates the light icons + has new text.

Pneumite available from 4k GC seals, 200 Lore, or 200 Poetics so far, need 15 for relic. pretty tame costs actually, and something new to use Poes on for people hoarding Lores for Umbrites still.

The newborn soulstone is easy, assuming you only need one anyway which makes sense.

The new Animas look quite nice....except ninja's. Oh my god se, why would you use a Bronze Spatha for ninja's Anima? I am so envy of the other job's.

Yeah, considering that this is going to be the last form of the Anima weapons, they really do look rather bulky and plain. Literally everyone else has pretty good looking weapons, though Bard and White Mage probably have the best ones visually in my opinion.

In terms of the Relic Quest, I don't think I've actually hit the grind yet, and even when it comes to the farming for the light density, I don't think it will be too long since I'm assuming there's still a step to get a 280 or 285 relic.

The MNK's in design looks pretty cool, unfortunately the effects for it are rather on the dull side and even more unfortunate is their proportions at your waist are good but unsheathing them they bloat and look way too clunky.

I'm seriously considering dropping MNK for now so I can get BRD up there, cause cot damn the design and the effects are boss. That thing looks like it's made to bring down gods.

If it's like the previous relic, there will be a minor addition in 3.55 which would take them up to 275. Maybe adding more glow/detail?

Wow as a Bard need to see this.

PLD relic looks like a broadsword had sex with a lightsaber.

Two dungeon runs caused one of my Relic Runes to light up. If the pattern continues, with 10 runes on the Glass, it seems it will take 20 dungeon runs to max out the relic density.

Yeah, that is some effects on the bow. Seems fair; personally I found the final relic bow to be fairly "meh." This makes up for it.

So, we only need 1 Newborn Soulston or should I get more?

He's talking about soulstone's per weapon. You should need only 1.

I have heard you need 15 stones and you must all complete them

I don't think so, Soulstone is a unique-untradable item. If you need 15 of them, your inventory space will be no more T^T
