A Simple Request For Everyone...

Stop putting your GoFundMe's in party finder. I really don't want to see a million of these in the Aether party finder come tomorrow.

I didn't know people did that and if it's even allowed in game. Now this will bring up a whole new problems for GM's to resolve lol

I'm fairly sure that making money via this game is against the TOS. So it's a bon voyage to the banlands.

The party finder is pretty clean in my experience, considering at least that clean is things that have to be with default gameplay (money, level, achievment) and few about just chat. I guess I have to admit I've seen a few bad ones but usually not for long and they're by far the minority (2/20, I'm okay with 10% goof). Is everyone else's server crystal pure only game content and also many entries? If you have one entry and it's an EX Farm that doesn't count lol, Balmung is usually at like 15-30. Am I missing the green fields and sweet ambrosia, or is it just a FotM to hate on Balmung?

I don't RP but the only side effect I've had being on the "RP" server is all my cities are full of people, and not just at the aetheryte. Balmung has made me consider that even if I don't RP it's alright to be on an RP server (something I'd never really do before in an mmo, technically Balmung chose me due to the forced 1.0 server transfers way back when). Although it is nice Balmung is full, so I don't have to worry about end game content either (I just came back so now im playing catch up, but I see plenty of end game stuff going on - they can RP, ERP, and Raid! lol).

"Looking for a Minfilia lookalike with the outfit. I'll give a 100k for a quick photoshoot."

and here I was trying to level gathering/crafting for making money.

Yeah, this sort of thing is no doubt reportable. And if it isn't yet, it will be once they clog up the cross-server Party Finder post-update.

Hopefully the same judgment is made for the inevitable handful of folks looking to use it as free advertising for their livestreams, too.

Real requests for financial assistance don't use anonymous online games as their communication forum.

Just given the media it's 99% likely to be a scam.

I am quite familiar with both the internet and gofundme. While there are plenty of legitimate gofundme requests - many are scams and quite a few have publicly been revealed to be so. If not 100% outright lies - there is a lot of truth bending that goes on.

Plus begging for money from complete strangers online is always in bad taste. If you need help for real issues - go to your family or friends and if you don't have any that can help then the next best bet is local community and community organizations.

If its not a critical need (i.e medical, housing, food) then maybe consider getting a job like most of the people you are trying to con. I will help (and have done so) those in legitimate need but crying poor me and trying to con money from strangers in an online game should result in an immediate permanent account ban. It's pathetic.

Gofundme is not Kickstarter. It's a donation and you aren't expecting anything in return.

I have nothing against balmung..I welcome the people in PF I just hope the ERP we know is there stays to a minimum lol, I don't want it all over the cross server PF.
