Faster gathering and crafting.. Hmm

Dear community,

I've been debating with myself whether this is a good idea or not. Sure it will help newer players in the long run and those who don't craft at all but I honestly don't think its needed. There are many methods in the game to level this at a decent rate, Food, Fc buffs and company scrolls just to mention a few. I wanna hear your thoughts as well as I personally think players should earn there levels. Relic is a different story as its a bit painful for some.

I think it's mostly lack of time for some (and will for others).
Making it faster and using those methods at the same time, might encourage them to lvl their gathering and crafting class to 60 before the level cap goes to 70 :3

This also effects players who sell leve kits, This will reduce in value a lot.. Some players spend up to 600k and up just for a 1-50 crafting skill to level 50. At the rate SE is going it seems we will see a jumping potion within a couple of expansions which bothers me to some point seeing as most players have earnt where they are today.

@DatPotato that's a good point but still isn't healthy for the economy imo, its to 45 if I remember correctly which does mean they have to earn there next 15 levels yes but the value of ARR gathering & crafting mats will reduce drastically. I could be wrong of course and just stressing about the whole situation.

I think DatPotato hit the nail on the head. Regardless, I hate to seeing need for these actions. I leveled my gatherers and crafters to 60 the "old fashioned" way. I leveled my Botanist and Miner by grinding and miminal Leve quest. My Fisherman on the other hand,I used leves and FC dailies. The latter was EXTREMELY easy and took very little time. So how much easier are they going to make it? I was hoping for more of a challenge and specialized recipes.

I expect that there will not be any specialist recipes when leveling in Storm blood. Likely all specialist recipes will be the 1 and 2 star at 70.

It's mostly the fact that this particular content isn't fun and most people would gladly have a bot do the chore for them it if was legal. (And some go as far as to do that despite it not being legal). The OP has a point when he says time isn't the issue - the issue is enjoyment and the lack thereof.

I don't think the increase in leveling speed is really going to change much.

Wasn't sure what OP was talking about since it came off like they increased xp gains for DOL/DOH across the board, but they just did it for leves. Honestly, it's not as bad as some might think it is? I mean when you hit 55+ the xp gains from leves is pretty insane but when compared to other leves there was an imbalance. Now they just leveled it up a bit to make DOL/DOH leves potentially worth doing now since there were points when lving where the xp gains from DOL/DOH leves wasn't worth using a charge for but now it might be worth it.

Also once you have access to the Moogle tribe daily quests, you can level any crafting class from 50 to 60 very easily and quickly without requiring any mats.

Can we make quick synthesis 3x faster :( Spending time waiting to synthesize mats for the main synthesis is getting tiring.

Exactly, My room mate leveled a fair few to level 60 within just few months with next to no effort. he actually made profit doing it because of the whole glass fiber thing, and dont forget Ixal quests too which are ARR. you could even do them to bridge the gap from 45-50,51.

I know for me, the main reason I don't craft much is actually the length of time it takes to do each synth, (combined with how many synths are required to make things from scratch with newer items). If I could hammer out actions as fast as my battle actions, I'd probably craft a LOT more.
