the new hunt journal is for upgrading the tome gear since it ever was.

Wind-Up Estinien confirmed to be a new WT reward. And I never get two lines. :(

Ugh. I've only gotten 2 lines twice plans both times on the weeks in-between minion rewards

Wind-up Ohl Deeh - 30,000 gil from the Moogles when you finish the new Beastmen Storyline.

Quick correction: the wind-up moon is traded for a hi-ELIXIR, not a hi-POTION. Just fyi. :)

Updated - just need confirmation on Anima Minion

Anima minion is obtained by a quick "talk to Gerolt then Rowena" quest which is available after you get the 270 anima weapon

This. I just finished my 270 anima weapon and got a quest which unlocked the Anima minion.

So...this wasn't in the patch notes, but I saw something on the ConsoleGamer wiki and a few other sites about an "Angel of Mercy" minion. Sorta looks like a little blonde cherub holding a stereotypical heart. Anyone else heard anything about this one?

Whenever there is a major patch they tend to pre-load data for future seasonal events, but don't release information in the patch notes about it. When I do these regular threads I don't always include that info in the first post cause a) it's dat mining and b) some people might consider it spoilery

So

Yes, it is in the dats and is either a quest reward or a bought item in the Valentines Day seasonal event

Updated with minions from 3.55a to 3.55b

Newly added are the Baby Brachiosaur (not yet know how to get, possibly from a fate or a boss in Diadem) and Pegasus Colt (Bought with Brass Spoils)

Baby Brachio surgery comes from Brachio surgery boss fate in the diadem.

I have heard reports that the hunting hawk minion can come from a bird-related boss fate in the Diadem as well.

Has anyone tried to bring many Anima minions together? i know when i bring my own and my friends together they immediately stop and stare at each other for long periods of time. there a hidden action im missing out on?
