I...really hope that's a typo.Quote:
Completion Reward
Upon completing Dun Scaith, players can also earn a separate reward once per week. This reward can be exchanged with Bertana in Idyllshire (X:5.8 Y:5.2) for items used to enhance equipment purchased with Allagan tomestones of lore.
Dungeons ilvl 230? I expected only 220-225. So that's a bit better. Zurvan EX being 250 makes the Thordan EX pretty much as expected. I couldn't imagine they actually would make him harder than A12 Savage.
The Far Edge of QoL
There are so many QoL in this patch I was honestly also disappointed at the same time lol. Hope the full release has some better details. Nothing in the preliminary excited me really. Also only 5 quests for MSQ? They better have some long cut scenes because that is a very small amount. I know there will be Part 2 but its still small :/
Maybe it's because I have looked at patch notes for 3 years now I expected like 3/4 of it already lol
Camphor now makes stacks of 3? Can I get a HALLELUJAH!
Dyeable Savage Gear is also very nice. Given I'm still just trying to break into Savage Raiding though, DYE PREVIEW is of more import, sweet mercy.
Also love the looks of all the additions to Group Pose. Still waiting for the ability to run Battle Skills through it though.
Looking pretty cool tbh.
I thought the Garo gear would also be available through the Gold Saucer though. Not as pvp gear, but just glamour stuff.
Ah, alright. Well that's good to know.
What makes you say that? Dun Scaith on its own will probably have ilvl260 stuff, whilst granting a weekly 270 upgrade. But the crafted stuff may still have some stats which are preferential to either. So unless all the Dun Scaith gear is perfectly tuned to fill in gaps left by some less-than-desirable 270 and 260 gear we already have, there'll still be a market for the 250 crafts. To say nothing of glamour.
Thank god we can finally dye the savage raid gear was always so confusing why we couldn't.
It just didn't make sense Gordias > Midas we could dye gear but Creator only our weapons was very weird.
As I understand it correctly, if you eat two of the same food in a row it'll have double duration?
They really like to push this group pose/screenshot feature don't they....
The new crafts will be ridiculously higfh level that only 5 people in a server can make them. I guarantee.
Sucks that the paintings are relative to your Sightseeing log, seeing as my sightseeing log is EMPTY.
I'm a little disapointed that the new painting frames is tied down to the Sightseening log, would have been nice to have some custom pantings up around my house (like from screenshots uploaded to loadestone?)
I I'm also disaponted there was no new content for CG Squads
Holy shit, now we can configure our hotbar layouts like SWTOR and WOW, this is super awesome.
Here is a link where every sightseeing log is listed and when their availability is: http://vistas.explorexiv.com/
And here's a video to help with the harder jumps pictures don't illustrate as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKTh8aDjj2A&t=489s
This link is for Heavensward ones: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...ghtseeing_log/
MrHappy also has videos if those help. Anywho, happy sightseeing log hunting! :D
I took a closer look at the patch notes and was surprised at the changes made to gatherer/crafter xp gain. This might actually convince me to get back into that if the increase is good enough.
I was almost crying at the possibility to turn my hotbars.....now if they just wouldn't waste time in the gpose "feature"
Have you used it recently? I found it pretty pointless when first implemented, but after the previous update to it, I started having a lot of fun messing around with it. So I'm really looking forward to the additional updates in 3.5, and I hope to see being able to run Weapon and Job Skills in a future update. But then, I'm also the sort who also puts a fair deal of concern in building their character's appearance. So if you aren't into the "Fashion Fantasy", "Glamour is True End Game" attitude, then I suppose I can see how it wouldn't matter.
Still, I'd say it's much more fun to mess around with than some real wastes of dev time and attention. Like Verminion.

I love collecting these for the little tidbits of lore, can't wait to see what the deal is with the FFVI battle sprite Magitek Armor is.
Triple triad tournament with random match ups. NPCs no longer use the random rule.
Yes.
They really need to quit doing that. Would be nice to have more then 2 options for expert roulette.Quote:
The duties listed within the Duty Finder have been reorganized as follows:
Was hoping for the patch to support the PS4 pro hardware.. maybe it's more complicated to do than it sounds :)
They wouldn't have spent much time on it. The gpose feature was probably an internal developer tool they use to create all the trailer/website screenshots and they decided to expose it to the general public.
If anything that'd be a Stormblood thing.
Otherwise, I do like the FATE changes, but I wish they would do sever wide announcements when they pop-up, because very few people are in Azys La.
Rewards
You can receive only one reward item per week for completing duties in Dun Scaith.
In the event you are awarded an item from the loot list, you relinquish your right to vie for all remaining items regardless of whether you selected Need or Greed.
If time expires and a reward item is obtained automatically, this will also count toward the weekly limit.
* Reward eligibility is reset every Tuesday at 12:00 a.m. (PST).
So weekly reset for Dun Scaith is 2 hours earlier than everything else?
The TT changes are the ones I'm most excited about. Battlehall matches only for tournaments should make it a bit harder on the win traders, 20 matches per tourney is a lot more reasonable than 35+, and no more Random rule giving me a hand of 1 and 2 star cards against nps with hands full of 4s and 5s will reduce frustration quite a bit. :D
Edit: I'm kind of surprised that the GARO stuff is of relatively high ilevel. It seems like its being treated as real new tier of PVP gear rather than just event stuff.
Lots of nice updates on this one. Most of them with the duty finder, wish they had these earlier then I could have convinced a few friends to stay in the game. Maybe...we can get them back now...
I am happy with my egi glamour. I actually don't mind Ifrit, Garuda, she will be going back to Carbuncle. Keeping it blue..keeping it classy.
I've never seen the appeal in POTD, I have messed around with it but not blown away by it but what I know I spend lot of my time gathering/crafting.
As for dungeons and roulette I don't think they need to create a 3rd new dungeon they could simply just keep the last 2 older dungeons from previous patch along when the new ones so would have 4 dungeons as a option instead of only 2.
