Reviled... is a great typo.
Your typo is the best. It's the reason why stuff like autocorrect sites are so funny. It can have a double or unexpected meaning. Love it :) Have a great day!
I was waiting for RDM to be reviled for a while also thks SE. Yoshida has a tendency to revil new jobs one by one or even not at all. The revilation using t-shorts is quite amuzing.

(You cant stop this now :p)
Red Mage is going to be my main Job been waiting for them to introduce it and now they have I can not wait.
The hype is real. But I want to wait and see how the gameplay feels before declaring it my new main Job. I've enjoyed Black Mage and White Mage for a long time now. White Mage will remain my healer, but whether or not Red Mage takes over for Black Mage will depend. SE has a bit of a habit of balancing issues with new classes. When they introduced AST it was so weak that no one used it seriously, and it took what felt like half the expansion to fix it. I'm a bit worried, what with the latest tweet or comment about making sure RDM won't be OP, that it'll be underbalanced like AST was.
Lol at the queue times
I mained RDM in XI, and very excited to see the job in this game. Because of this, you would think I would be chopping at the bit and sharpening my rapier for its release, but I am not going to be so quick to join the masses come June. I want to see the other job(s) as well. If dancer is indeed introduced, and it is a healer, rdm will be put on the back burner for quite some time. In any case, my interest weighs far heavier towards how/if the fluid kata movements we see in the SB trailer will be incorporated into the game. Healer or not, I want to see my character move like that! This is no way takes away how impressed I was with the finesse and style put into RDM.
I think dps jobs are easier to balance. They just have to have similar ST & AoE damage output potential, survivability, complexity, resource sustainability, and party utility with each other. There's small variance in all of these factors now but all of the dps jobs are vaiable.
That makes me hopeful, but I still want to wait and see. Red Mage is unique in being a melee and ranged DPS job, after all. They'll want to make sure it has an identity unique to the job itself. We're not going to see a generic clone of an existing job. As long as it holds to the same parameters it should function well, but if they're already concerned about making sure its not OP, I'm still worried it'll end up underpowered for the launch.
Looks like it might be fun. I'm loving the designs.
Kind of done with DPS classes though so I might have to pass.
Well there is always Samurai :p
Jokes aside:
It is 50/50 on which role will be more popular during early 4.0 due to two high demand Jobs being released in two different roles. Though I expect majority of those leveling the new Tank Job may just Fate Farm to avoid the PF discrimination on there Tanking skills.
If I'm honest, I prefer the job to be weak early on, rather than OP. Although, better yet would be for it to be more or less on par with the other jobs. I might make it my main but it's unclear yet if I'll like SMN or BLM better, especially with the changes to the existing abilities and the new ones. I bet the other new job(s) will also be interesting.
