I don't know what to say about the Dun Scaith gear. Maybe it'll look better ingame.

So, the final boss in the raid will be like in the World of Darkness (giant, out of the location)? Does SE have a lack of imagination and cant create something new?

Yep, it's the same Death Gaze and it's not just an ordinary encounter either, you fight him on an Airship like you do in Final Fantasy VI. I love the attention to fan service Yoshida and the dev team bring to this game. on another note, they're probably going to rename the enemy Tyrant from FFXII in South Shroud, the monster perched on a rock (?) I think it's at when they introduce this guy.

It's becoming apparent now they are keeping back gear designs for 4.0.

Everything else looks fantastic though!

Sadly Recycling Gear models with a new coat of paint will always be a thing.. Saves them time I guess ^^;

Personally going with, from left to right: DRG, NIN, Healers, Tanks, MNK, Aiming and Casting.

Really liking the aesthetic, particularly [what I'm assuming are] the Casting and Healing sets.

I wish the 24 man armors didnt look like such a hot mess.
Couldnt they put the "edgy alice in wonderland" theme somwhere into them? Right now it looks like they found those in a dumpster. Really too bad.

Since the environment is more ancient ruins, then the tattered look fits when you think about it.

The 24 man raid gear in 3.0 frankly sucks. 2.0 had more variety for the CT raids.

Haha, holy cow. There's some childish part inside me that's absolutely giddy upon seeing this.

Upon seeing all of the other stuff, I'm worried we're going back to gender different gear. I certainly hope not.

I really hope that with this patch, they allow Nidhogg and Sephirot's lanners to be bought from Bertana. It's about time.

Anyone notice the mch pistol with Garo gear? I don't think mch had a handgun but I could be wrong.

The new DRG 24 man gear looks pretty good. Matches the theme of the raid.

I noticed the pistol too, if the queue times end up shorter, I'll be doing alot more PvP.

Is it really so hard to comprehend this? Yes, obviously due to the lore reasons, the new mount will not be named Phoenix. But until we DO know what its actually name is, calling it by the obvious shared inspiration due to its nigh identical appearance should be an obvious shorthand. How does this simple mentality confound people so?

So are we getting male and female gear sets for the PVP? That MCH gear looks completely different on the male and female character as does the healer gear.

The Garo items look very good, I realy hope getting them will be fun and not tedious.

PS: The Hyur Dark Knight in the Garo outfit looks very badass.

I hope this game is not done, but i'm unhappy too: I wished they would develop more playable content like dungeons, trials and raids .. I don't like to show off shiny gears just for the sake of showing off .. it's pointless to me .. I need to know that becoming stronger has a goal like "beating more powerful enemies" but right now it's not like that (the only exception: the savage raids).

A brush for the BLM weapon. GG SE. You win. I will get my noobass in PVP. I did it once for my SMN book, I can grit my teeth through it again for this.

Kinda disappointed with the GARO gear, Tanks and melee get the full armor but everything else get's the shaft.

I really like those pics from the raid, it gives it a little bit of American Mc Gee Alice and that white lady boss, very nice :)

SE heard our complaints about potatofells being used as gear models, so they made sure there was a potatofell in nearly every gear shot this time.

Friggin hell SE enough with the stupid potatos! They are terrible for displaying gear models!

You know, I don't necessarily disagree with you that I'm unhappy with the game's direction and wish more focus was placed on new combat content rather than hairstyles, Hildy stories (no matter how hilarious), and emotes. But I said it in another thread, and I'll say it again here: if you don't like the forums talking about those things, don't thought-police about it and imply that people should make threads that you give a crap about, make your OWN thread about what YOU want to discuss with others.

People are talking about this stuff because a.) it's relevant to the thread (pretty much all the info is about Mhach, Hildy, and PVP gear), and b.) it's what they're excited about. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

On topic, I hate the new PVP gear but opinions, subjective, etc. For example, I love the animal gears and some people think they're an absolute atrocity of design, so hey, can't please everyone. I'm just glad PVP is actually GETTING some exclusive gear updates, since IIRC we haven't had any since 3.05 or something lawl.

Where is my Edda outfit?, chinese outfits?, /backflip emote?, glamour of the craft outfits? and Panda mount? :(
