Nier: Automata x FFXIV collab?

As to answer the OP, the devs did once say that IF they were to add an XV event, they would wait til after it was released so people could get acquainted with it and its protagonist. I would imagine IF there was an event for Nier: Automata, they would do the same. I would personally like an event though. >w>

Neat. I'm already went through my unable to see character phase, but I will always go back if we get a lvl1 blindfold. Forever.

I don't really rp. I just always have a kind of character in mind for my characters in mmos. I just change that image when I change their appearance. I also think it would be sick.

I'm cool with this just so long as hair like 2A's is one of the rewards.

Isnt the Midas Head piece for BRD MCH and NIN already pretty similar to those blindfolds?

That is what I used for a long time when I mainly played MCH and NIN, BUT what about the other jobs? That is the saddest thing about that gear is only those 3 get them.

Also coming to XBox One? I only see mention of PS4 and PC. It seems they didn't yet confirm the XBox One version, but they didn't cancel it either. Anyway, PSO2 is going to have a NieR: Automata collab. Was announced not long ago. I wish FFXIV would just get collabs when the game is still fresh, instead of waiting for people to play it. That sure helps advertisement in PSO2.

According to some articles I've read it depends on how well the PS4 and PC version do. The game certainly seems to be heading towards having good sales compared to the rest of the series but time will tell.

I'd be for it. Would be the first collabaration event where I am both partial to and actually familar with said content. Chances we'll see it, though, depends on how popular and well received it is (judging by how Dragon Quest, Lightning, and seemingly Garo are big hitters) in Japan.

Hopefully it does well enough for at least consideration.

Ah, OK. I bet it will have its XBox One release, then. Unlike Drakengard and NieR, Automata seems to be a lot more polished, not to mention it's going to follow the open world trend. The gameplay footage I saw was very promising. Also, PC gamers are a lot more forgiving than console players. FFXIII did receive mostly positive reviews on Steam and a lot of people, having played it for the first time on PC, said they liked it a lot.

If we get a Neir collaboration I want those blindfolds ASAP.

All the eyewear we have is either glasses or atrocious masks.

BRD/MCH PVP Gear.

An ideal scenario for me is if the devs put the same amount of effort into the event as the FFXIII one, we'll see what happens.

Oh yes, a million times yes. I've wanted them to do an event for it since they announced it and I first saw 2B - and the game could do with promotion in any way possible.

Because Nier Automata will save Final Fantasy regardless if it's not related to the series, Nier Automata is the new hotness where as FFXV is pretty much under the rug now, 10 years for literally a flavor of the month game.

In FF15's defense, Yoshida did say he wanted to do one if the opportunity arose. When asked about a FF15 event in an interview, he stated he wanted players to become familiarized with the game and the characters first (play the game) as opposed to simply having one to promote the game on release IIRC.

So a FF15 event is hardly out of the water. It's meant to be delayed if it ever happens. I personally hope it does.

I'm in love with Taro and his work so yes. However, only if Taro himself is directly involved. Because the world does not need a repeat of Drakengard 2.

Not a fan of FATEs but I'd like it if each class got a weapon with the standard weapon story. Perhaps even weapons the characters from all over use like (though not a weapon in the game) Bards getting Inuart's harp, or Dragoons getting the Phoenix Spear.

Do 3-4 FATES using it, level up the weapon like in the games, weapon! Complimentary helmet with Tokyo Tower/the face Taro always wears. Lunar Tear for plants or a hair accessory. Optional items could be stuff like Caim, Papa Nier (cause best Nier), Zero and maybe an easy to put in outfit from Automata. It's the kind of series that people are surprisingly careful with spoilers about so I think the event should leave out as much about all the stories as possible.

Also, have the quest NPC be totally not Devola/Popola. Just 2 Hyur models with wavy-ish hair and straight. I know I'm going off of Drakengard and Nier, but I'm mainly referencing the DLC for Drakengard 3 and keeping things as general as possible since spoilers past what we've seen in the trailers is disastrous for this kind of series.
