You'd think that the game's internal tracking data about the use of gear would show that the helmets are pretty darned unpopular, and that this would have an impact on the events...but no...not at all.

At least the chocobo statue thing is kind of cute. :3 But yah, I'd love something other than those helmets. For the ladies, why not a kanzashi flower arrangement hair piece with a tiny chocobo in it? For the males... Um... Not sure. xD Not good at coming up with male stuff, sorry.

My only evidence is anecdotal, the only player I have ever seen wearing the Usagi (rabbit) helm was one of my friends who styled himself as the Bunny Knight. Had the bunny ears from the saucer been available for guys, he would probably have used them instead. I have not seen anyone wearing any of the Heavensturn Helms during normal play other than the Bunny Knight.

I just remember a comment from Yoshi a while back about something to do with gear, and he implied that their internal data on gear pointed in a particular direction. Even without that periodically running queries of the server side character database would allow SE to gain a pretty good understanding of the relative popularity of certain types of gear.

It was fun the first time but at least stick to ONE thread instead of seeing 5000 of them in different varieties:

- Look what china has!
- Look what china has - give it to us!
- Look, we are getting what china has
- Look we are getting what china has but in the cash shop
- Stop using the cash shop to give us things that china has!
