I just started the game again (was in beta) and I chose mysidia server but have never seen anyone talking. Posted in many forums looking for an adult ls but unfortunately have not gotten any responses. Before I get much further into leveling my character, have I chosen the wrong server and if so, what is a good active server that has linkshells that actually want people? lol

I did already. Basically an adult guild with a sense of humor and likes to socialize. Didn't figure it would be hard to find a ls that had those qualities. lol I guess I was expecting a quicker reply. Played xi for over 9 yrs and I remember the population being very large and never having a moments rest with chat flying by and ls recruitments, etc. Guess it will just take time. :)
Mysidia is a great server, try out for 2 linkshells(my favorites!) Immortals http://immortalsls.enjin.com/ and Screw Them All http://screwthemall.enjin.com/ go to these websites and apply they are great shells!

I was on Cerberus at first then on Unicorn. Had two characters Morganna and Gwenevere.
Who were your characters and what server??? Now you have me curious. lol
I guess Morganna is a popular name. lol. In any case Besaid is the best server because a lot of RPers play there. RPers, as you may know, like to play the game for fun and not to fuel their mental illness. So even if you don't RP, it's a great place because of the atmosphere. It's also very active because RPers are less likely to bail out, since they play the game to grow their characters and RP, not just play for content or gear.
How hard is it to find a linkshell there? I realize I am persistent on this but I play an online game to interact with others not to be alone all the time. If I wanted that, I'd play Oblivion or Skyrim. lol (great games btw) I just don't want to get too far into my character and fall inlove with her to be let down. I've played 3 days in a row and for approximately 3 hrs each day and have only seen a handful of people talking. (That's 1 handful, not both) I realize the game is new so I wasn't expecting much but was pretty surprised at the lack of people speaking.
RPers are great people, but some of over on mysidia, love the game for fun!
It's easy to find a linkshell on Besaid. Are you in 0 linkshells? There are tons on Besaid. I could recommend you a few. You're really not very far into your character. Mysidia was a very popular server during Beta and launch but it died with the enthusiasm I guess. The Chocobo Knights of Eorzea on Besaid is a very active and talkative linkshell. Some of my other ones might be more to your taste. I usually get frustrated because I have so much linkshell chat spamming my log from the 3-4 active lses I have. If you get on Besaid send a tell to Bear Clawed or Akira Toritomi or ask around about the Chocobo Knights. Akira could probably hook you up with a shell you would like. I think Besaid would be a good choice to spend the next year, although a few people have also posted to support Mysidia. On Besaid you always hear people chatting in the streets, and shouting for exp parties even in these days. These are dark times people. Lol.
I may try that Neptune and thank you so much for your help. :) That is the reason I am asking now. I don't want to get to 20 and then regret not looking sooner into this.
