I want to believe.

I think it may be for Blue Mage since Spiderman gets his powers from a Spider.

But there is this theory running around that in my opinion, is one hell of a reach. That the shirt is meant to call out Sam Raimi (Director of the mid 2000s Spider-man movie trilogy.), whose name in Katakana is similar to the word Samurai when written in Katakana.

But most likely Beast Master (it controls a giant spider as one of it's pets?), Blue Mage (Bit by a spider to get spider powers, maybe hint at getting powers from monsters) or Samurai (Director of some Spider Man movies was Sam Raimi. SamRaimi... Samurai?)

Spider Mage, obviously.

I'd be super on board for a BLU... but how does that play in if Tank and Healer are left to show off. (Assuming they stick to the trinity)

Spiderman directed by SAM[u]Raimi isn't the worst theory I've ever heard.

Could be Puppetmaster cause of web/strings.

Could be Dancer, cause he's pretty agile and generally graceful in movement. Could also be a type of acrobat styled job based on that too.

Some have theorized Blue Mage cause of getting abilities from a creature.

A few threw out the idea of Samurai, connecting Sam Raimi's name somehow.

Beyond that, I'm lost to any other possibilities.

I am putting my money down for Blue Mage now. The more I think about it, the more it makes since. Spider-Man gets his powers from a spider AND his Rogues Gallery has a lot of animal themed villains, such as Doctor Octopus, The Vulture, The Rhino, The Lizard and while he is a bit of a stretch, he is focused around animals and hunting, Kraven the Hunter. So yeah, I'm going with Blue Mage.

Im impressed that Yoshi was able to stump us so well this time. There are many possible threads this could lead to. Unlike the "Scarlet Witch" shirt.

I'm under the impression that its likely the Sam Raimi/Samurai theory as it seems to make the most sense so far if you apply it to the "trinity" of tank/healer/dps.

Since the DPS role has been filled already, I really cant see it being BLU, BST or PUP as those jobs all seem too damage dealer-ish to be anything else.

SAM DPS! I still think well get 2 dps jobs, since they are doing the revamp they prolly don't wanna add in tank and healer into the balancing mix this time around.

I'm going with the Samurai (Sam Raimi) theory first. Second guess would be what someone said on one of the previous pages about Blue Mage (Spidey got his powers from radioactive spider).

Going to toss out a possibility: The Spider-Man shirt could be hinting a multiple new jobs.

It could be hinting at both Samurai (through Sam Rami) and Blue Mage (gaining powers from monsters).

Spiderman is currently played by Tom Holland
Holland is known for windmills
Windmills are frequently an obstacle on mini-golf courses
Mini is a white magic spell
White mage confirmed

Samurai as tank, I hope. If it's the case, it'll be my new main job !

He has already revealed the 1st new job (red mage) as DPS role and if the 2 two new jobs will be both DPS, it'd be weird. Oo

Im going with the bluemage theory^^ as many already said, spidey = gaining powers by "attacked " by an animal, several animalistic enemies , but got maybe an interesting idea: read in another thread, that at the end of the sb teaser, the 2 monks "energy" could resemble red and blue mage, so I watched it again and found something, that may be another "colour " analogy, the female monk wears red, and at that part where they switch to that one worker with the cannon, the chocobo in the background wears a blue barding, veeery far fetched i know :p and the worker / the clothing in general kinda looks in my opinion similar as the bluemage in xi, it fits way better to ala mhigo than SAM ( which would fit better to Doma) + there are a few similiarities with raubahn and xi , which may be just a coincedence ^^

I also think that BLU would be a tank or atleast a tank/ xx hybrid, because you should be kinda tanky if want to learn skills by getting attacked by monsters :eek:

I think there is actually more supporting Blue Mage instead. Most people might think they wouldn't release RDM BLU together, but there have already been suggestions of that happening in past events (Look here for reference: https://40.media.tumblr.com/6c5e47bc...t66q5h_540.png)

Spider-Man was bitten by a radioactive spider and that's how he got his powers. People can reach deep, but there is more for BLU.
Now these are just coincidences, and some people don't take connections from XI with a lot of merit, but they are rather uncanny:
