You'll get no argument from me. Been here since 2014 and I am in no hurry to go elsewhere.
FFXV Best Overall RPG? Yeah... no.
I can't argue with FFXIV being the best MMO though.
I would say that depends on what aspect of the game they are referring to there are some aspects which other MMOs do it a lot better. Best overall MMO well I don't know, they say its Final Fantasy 14 but I guess that can differ from person to person.
As long as PSO2 isn't on our side of the Pacific, there aren't very many MMOs out there that can match XIV.
The list is very well made, no arguments here.
bleh... the author probably played only the mainstream games. FFXV best RPG, really?
Wouldn't really be playing if it wasn't for the Final Fantasy brand but out of all the MMO's with a sub fee that I've played (XI, 1 hour of WoW and this) this is the best
PSO2 from Sega will always be my favorite MMO tho.
Was an overall score, best new mmo went to BDO and best xpac for MMO went to Legion. Which I find fair personally BDO for all the gripes it got is fairly unique even at the minimal amounts ive played it and Legion, well its an xpac and it was fun enough for a month I guess ^^;
Omg its a retarded place.
Pokemon go is an mmo? What part is online there.
More cosmetics, growing media acknowledgment with countless collaborations, Randomized loot drops with legit weapon building, engaging combat system, flexible side class system, brilliant graphics and best customization putting 14 to shame. I'd argue if the story was better, but I couldn't since its still in japanese, but if its any better than the other Phantasy Star games it's most likely more engaging.
lol? The mmo with a drop flagging system that limits a relevant weapon to one, per server, per month? How about two gacha costume systems because??? Sub HU ftw? Weak Bullet even existing? Karin spewing the same awful, shrill lines at you years later?
As much as I like to heap praises on the game's good points, try not to candycoat the steamers Sakai enjoys dumping on the playerbase
I think that's a fair list. Having jumped in on legion and WoW in general with my friends who had been playing for years was a lot of fun. There's a lot that goes on in legion that I wish was in FF14, chief of which is the guild hall campaigns. While it would be a bit more difficult to implement because of how fluid our class system is, I would love to see a larger focus of us growing within our class.
But since 14 is probably one of my favorite games of all time, this list please me a lot :D
Yeah after 2 months legion just felt really tiresome to me, think one of wows biggest "strengths" is that its core player base is not really an MMO player base but specifically a wow one. In all honesty if I had only been playing WoW during the past few years I prolly woulda seen Legion as the second coming lol. That being said Legion does a fine job of polishing the systems it adapted into itself from other games, but it just felt like the same with a nicer paint job in the long run.
Should mention that I feel legion is actually a cyclical MMO now and i think it will do well with the patch on/patch off crowds and id be wrong of me to not see this as a good thing since i see that as a good thing in ff 14.
