You want Miqote male teenagers?
Don't you dare touch my kittyboys. They're perfect the way they are.
I'd switch one of my Lalas back to Miqo in a heartbeat if I could finally make him look like I picture him :(
As if the adult ones aren't annoying and dumb looking enough...
Boy kitty NPCs, yas. Also add some Roe kids, oh and Lalafell kids that actually look like children?
I'm having trouble finding incentive to add Twinqo'te the boy band as playable characters. NPC's? Sure! The game could use more kids/tweens scattered around.
I wouldn't mind some new options in character creation...I really picture Lukh'a just a smidge younger and slimmer than you can currently make, and certainly most of the Miqo'te male emotes are a little confident for my tastes. Makes it hard to keep up the assumption that the reason he's just starting to travel now is because he was too young back in 1.0.
If they added male miqo'te that looked like that, I would instantly change my genders. They are too cute.
On another note, I can't help but think of the Ouran Host Club due to the photo. lol.

I'm,glad I wasn't the only one thinking of Ouran.
I will never say no to more character creation options. Get me the sharpie so I can write my name in big letters on this petition.
They look like 10 year olds o.o
Which is the opposite direction I would want them to go :p I'm quite happy with how they are, though I am in no way opposed to even more options added!

I think they should differentiate a bit more the sun an moon cats, giving one the option to be a bit smaller/cuter and the other to be a bit bigger/manlier would be lovely.
And please differentiate emotes too >>
And the devil said:"Wish fulfilled" and made Seekers a male-only clan. Suddenly, thousands of former catgirls are against differentiation of clans and want the option to be a female (again).
(Side note: I always find it highly ironic when a male miqo'te player advocates more differentiation, considering miqo'te used to differentiate themselves from other races by not having playable males, so their favored choice would not have been a choice at all if SE had kept that differentiation)
For Mi"qote, if I were the developer, I would make one clan the current Mi'qote and the other clan would be more Beastman, like Khimari.
And that's why it's what the devil would do :P
(It was actually an allusion to a movie where the devil gave someone X wishes in exchange for their soul and purposely screwed them up so that the person would use the other wishes so she could have their soul, but that's a side note)
Personally, I would certainly like more customization options, like everyone else - I'm going to be fully open however, I'm still salty I can't have slit pupils AND fangs. I'd rather we get more general customization options, such as being able to pick between lithe, normal and muscular build, a proper color spectrum for hair, body paint, individualized animations instead of racial ones etc. Right now, every female miqo'te shows the exact same personality in their emotes and I'd get a lot more value out of being able to simply pick whichever animations I deem fitting for my character from a common pool than I'd get out of differentiating personality/animations between Seekers and Keepers.
I'd be happy with any and all additions to character customization regardless of wether it's something I would personally use or not. It's nice seeing variety around eorzea!
What's the deal with that one idle pose, the one where they are crouched over looking like they just took a crap in their pants? Are you male-qotes really proud of that? Huh?
Male miqo'tes already look like they jumped out of a boyband camp and mostly the people who make them, make them look so plain and boring like they just clicked on the first character model that loaded >.<
Granted there are a few and i mean a FEW people who make male miqo'te look good
As cute as they are..i mean... make it an..option? maybe? but at the very least, take the horrible, crippling arthritis out of our fingers, please.
No for the sole reason that the looks are already established. If they changed the looks for existing clan models and it effected my character I would be royally pissed off. If they want to tack on a third clan of pubescent cat boys that is up to them but don't touch my character. >:C
I do not even want to know why you people want underage child character models.
Heh, no.
It's happened in other games, and been a can worms best left unopened. In the end the legal ramifications are not worth the hassle, development time, or resources. I leave you with this response after another game company came underfire for the Possibility of making underage looking characters.
Linden Lab's full statement follows:
" Second Life is a 3D virtual world in which all the content is created and owned by its Residents. It is used by individuals, businesses, non-profits and educational organizations to communicate and collaborate in an immersive and compelling way. All Residents using Second Life MUST assert that they are over 18 years of age and that they will abide by our Terms of Service which prohibit illegal activity and by our Community Standards which prevent broadly offensive behavior. While the vast majority of Residents abide by these agreements and use Second Life in a constructive fashion, as with any communications technology, such as email, the phone or the Web itself, some seek to abuse the system and behave in an offensive manner.
At present, we have no firm evidence of wrongdoing from our own investigations into Wonderland nor from our Abuse Report channel. There's nothing objectionable nor illegal in having a child-like avatar in itself and we must assume innocence until proof of the contrary. That said, Linden Lab is morally opposed to and has zero tolerance for child pornography, simulated or otherwise, within Second Life.
It is a primary concern of ours to keep Second Life a safe and legal environment. Second Life Residents are held to a clearly defined Terms of Service and Community Standards to prevent illegal and/or broadly offensive activities, and it goes without saying that anyone engaged in these activities will be permanently banned from Second Life. Additionally, it is important to clarify that when we discover minors in Second Life, or when their presence is reported to us, we terminate their access. Underage users are automatically directed to Teen Second Life, an area specifically designed for non-adults, and offering them a rich, creative experience collaborating with other teens.
In addition, Linden Lab is in the process of implementing age verification measures to require age verification for entrance to parcels with adult content. More information about this can be found here:
http://blog.secondlife.com/2007/09/1...icted-content/.
In the rare instances of suspected child pornography of which we have been informed, Linden Lab immediately works to remove the offending content and involves local authorities where appropriate. At present in the US, we work with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and are open to working with similar authorities in other countries, such as CEOPS."
The difference being; and correct me if I'm wrong, is that "Second Life's" content is created entirely by it's user base and therefore questionable content arises from that. Whereas XIV's content is created by it's devs and most; if not all (again correct me if wrong) of user modifications, are typically prohibited anyway.
Therefore any questionable content that you're concerning yourself with developing would be the RP. In which case you report it, and it gets taken care of if need be.
That isn't true at all though. Sure, the odd role-player here and there who goes too far may end up being banned but on Balmung, in the Quicksand, there are literally hundreds of characters running about at peak hours all searching for naughty fun. In some cases it is fairly tame - in many other cases, though, it involves some pretty creepy and dubious stuff. Those who have seen it for themselves will know what I am on about.
This also isn't the kind of game where it makes sense to play a very young character anyway.
Then it would come down to what aspect the OP is referring. Are they asking for character models or NPC's?
And again as I stated, the content in question would be from the resulting RP, in which case.. you see it, you report it, and it'll be taken care of if need be. =P
To Alacran and Rhymenoserous
Alacran:is final fantasy xiv a romance simulator?
Rhymenoserous:Age similar to miqo'te female and Lehko Habhoka the real male cat miqo'te from Final Fantasy XI
Again, though. It won't - it'll never be admitted publicly for obvious reasons but FF14's community support team aren't going to go around banning all the dubious role-players that exist on Balmung. It'd put a pretty notable dent in profits - especially since role-players tend to be the sort that sub to the game throughout the year rather than in short bursts.
It's exactly the same in the likes of WoW - a lot of people are well aware of the scary stuff that goes on in Goldshire on Moon Guard/Argent Dawn in particular. I doubt the support team there are oblivious - but again, it's a case of 'turning a blind eye'.
So in short. People have most likely been reported, it's been looked into, and decided that it's not a problem.
And just to point something else out. If you've done the Starlight event, then you know of the Lala child at the orphanage.. What's stopping people from RPing their Lala's as children as it is?
I understand what you're saying but, on some servers (I'm thinking the RP ones), it would be a 24/7 job reporting it. Even after all the talk about not being allowed to buy/sell housing in game there's still several an hour on Leviathan's PF. It's an unwanted can of worms.
