Starlight event?

Has anyone heard any details for a Starlight Celebration this year? I'm in that wintery spirit but I haven't seen or heard anything yet!

There is still some days left for an announcement, the event usually starts around the 18th.

Speaking of..didn't they show off an outfit for christmas on a livestream recently, anyone got that image? It was on a lalafell.

I was curious about when we'd be getting the Starlight announcement, too, so I checked when it was announced last year. If it's anything to go by, the announcement will be either this coming Sunday or Monday, and it will be implemented Tuesday.

How are you getting Tuesday? Starlight has started on the 18th of December every single year since the launch of ARR.

Not saying they won't buck the trend, but there's no precedent for it.

Don't most events usually start either on Tuesday or Thursday?

18th is still so far off x.x

They usually announce holidays quite close to it. Considering that it 'has to' pass through Christmas expect it around then

They did, but the male chest was a reskin of the Manderville chestgear, while female got a unique dress.

That's a nice outfit, but how many Santa outfits do we need?

Then again, I guess we already have Reindeer and Snowman outfits, so it's not like there are a whole lot of options left. Maybe a full Tree outfit to go with the hat? Or a giant present outfit!

I was hoping that the feedback regarding the lack of a unique/full outfit for male characters for seasonal events was going to be taken on board.

We will get a winter event I'm sure of it. If I remember correctly (and sorry I don't feel like checking right now), they (usually) announce an event 5-7 days before the start date.

One thing I love about the events in this game is they aren't the same one every year. They try to change them up which is really nice. In terms of rewards, I'd love to see them start releasing minions based on guild masters. The battle ones, the crafting ones, and the gathering ones. I'd love to see what kind of animations they'd come up with for a Severin minion. :P

I like your idea, but what if: instead of it being a Starlight event, SE brings back the Moogle Postman quests and we get quests about the Guildmaster and each quest reward us with a minion of the Guildmaster? I feel that making it a Starlight event will make those quests short, but if its a Postman quest, then we might get good quests like the Longshaft/Mi'qote sisters etc quests.

Oh I didn't mean the guildmaster minions should come from the starlight event. They could come from any event or even quests. I just meant I'd like to see them added somewhere, though preferably NOT on the mog station. Also I've only been playing not-quite two years so I have no clue about any postman quests.

I just hate it when they show gear and outfits only on a lala. Their proportions make it so they can sometimes look quite different. It's such a pet peeve of mine.

Those event items, including Heavensturn, are already visible in certain database website - and only Starlight Robe is shown; so no boots, pants, gloves or hat.

A bit sad when they won't even bother with creating fitting boots, guess it's another mix and match Christmas set time.

It have body, hat, gloves and boots. No pants.
You can also buy them in the MB.

I liked 2014' male xmas set way better than the female....i just hate those stupid shoulder-less dresses. The tights and boots are nice though!

Last year we all got shafted by some animal things.....

well nice finally something to look forward to hope no furnishing havent click link dang they need to start giving people prizes for hotels also.

Make hotels you leave them out.

Pillar is okay for hotel but would much rather have something else.

The outfit on both drawings certainly looks the same. I don't know if the one in-game will be exactly the same. They appear to be slightly differents.

I like the description of one of the event reward:

"Snow Drift: A giant pile of pristine white snow. Yellow coloring optional."

We better be able to /visor the hood up darnit.
