Will we see the Regalia in FFXIV?

I'd love to see the Regalia added as a 4 person mount. No need for all the customization options.

I hope not - it really doesnt fit into the world of FFXIV...

I also doubt it (lucky me!) - they said we wouldnt get Clouds motorcycle because it would move to fast compared to the other mounts (and would be silly if they'd slow it down to chocobo-spead)

I doubt it, simply due to the fact that there isn't a single car in this game [which is ironic, considering the technology, computers, airships, and walkers that are present].

There were a lot of complains about Yokai not fitting into the game; just because they did it once doesnt mean they have to do it again.

By Gomera you're refering to the turtle from the Gold Saucer, I suppose? Thats a FF-monster for decades - they flying, granted, silly.

The outfits are chinese exclusive, right? I dont see a massive problem with them anyways.

That car however would hardly fit into the world - its very different in the general design and also seems to massive to me. The world of eorzea isnt build for big mounts like that - the Behemoth already seems way to huge and out of place, clipping through everything, hanging half in the air - and being rarely used (at least I cant remember the last time I saw it... oh, wait, I do! Half a year ago when someone who just got it showed it to me)

I am NOT talking about lore when I'm talking about what "fits" into the game and what doesnt - as I tried to explain: I dont believe that car would fit into the world in a purely "physical" way, since its simply to huge and bulky (look at the mounts we're having and compare them to how huge that car would be - and then tell me it wouldnt look totally out of place in idleshire). I dont believe that eorzea is designed as a world that "support" cars - not so much by lore (we should have the technology after all) but more by design.

I think will be... curious see 50 regalia going for a S Rank hunt. I means, let's just run over him!!!

If you want to argue like this, I raise you the motorcycle again and remind you: They decided that motorized mounts dont fit into the game - and they are the once who decide what fits.

After all may it be for the reason that I consider relevant - the design thats off and the size thats to huge - or for their former argument of how such a mount would move to fast (or be slowed down in a way that wouldnt fit the mount anymore), I doubt we'll see it.

You can find that disappointing; I consider that to be the better way - we dont need to have every asset of every FF-game in this one.
(and dont tell me again how we're having those outfits from other games, I'm well aware of them - for me a car doesnt fit FF at all, and neither does the motorcycle tbh. I consider the outfits to be a nice bow towards those who walked before our Warrior of Light; if you want to cruise through an FF-game in a car, you can do that in FFXV now - in a world thats designed to be traveled at 180kmh in a car... and not in one that doesnt even has proper roads for such a vehicle...)

It works/fits fine since there are train trains tracks and stuff. Also look at all the battle airships I think the car would fit perfectly.

Also Olof speed is an issue and design they can easily redisgn it is the same speed as all the other mounts and make it slimmer. The fate Chocobo mount is bigger than that car anyway and I see people using that all the time.

If they SE want it in the game they will find away to make it fit.

Only dead regarding Yokai Watch (and flying turtle and Fenrir). Everything else you listed doesn't really hurt FFXIV's lore. Clothing from the FFXIII event was given to us by Lightning (via Miqo'te, who gave Lightning her races clothing), Cloud's clothing could be crafted by some random crafter who wanted to try something different (applies to every other FF Hero gear and even the wings, which are also clothing). Power Ranger emotes are just emotes.

I doubt we will get anything like that as a crossover event item. If we do get anything it will be like the Lightning Returns event where we get a couple of outfits and glamour weapons.

We have regalia and we can modified it for regalia Type-F.

Regalia is a just the car cant fly.

Regalia Type-F ( regalia modified) a car can fly or just do what a car do)

Idk why you are telling me the same thing I said, I said the reason why they didn't implement the bike was because they didn't want to increase mount speed (yet), this reasoning doesn't fit for your "doesn't fit because of the design" reasoning.

And why are you assuming I find this disappointing? I'm not saying I want the Regalia, I'm saying "it doesn't fit the game" is not a valid reason anymore, aesthetic was thrown out of the window already, if they want it to happen they will make it happen regardless of what we think, and there are many ways to make Regalia happen here if they wanted to.

I'm more surprised, given the sheer amount of ways they've strove to keep things lore consistent (even Yokai Watch is surprisingly lore consistent - they are just aetheric constructs originating from a different region, much like carbuncles, and the weapons we get are commissions produced by the Manderville Gold Saucer - it's really the aesthetic that doesn't fit...and even then, they exist in what is considered a sort of non-canon bubble, despite hardly being lore breaking), that you think they don't care post-1.0.

@OP - it's possible it might make an appearance in that "non-canon bubble" that events like this tend to take place in when they eventually do the crossover event they've expressed interest in doing (a FF13 style behemoth showed up, after all, when Lightning did).

Explaining it away as a sheer curiosity created using magitek and using a core similar to a magitek reaper and all that jazz wouldn't be difficult, and while the aesthetic would clash it wouldn't be the first time.

Really, making it so all of the races can fit appropriately (Roe down to Lala) in a way that doesn't look absolutely ridiculous, along with animations for turning the wheel, are actually more likely to barriers to it ever appearing as a mount, four seater or otherwise.

Actually. They discussed increasing the movement speed for mounts and specifically mentioned coming back to the Cloud bike if they did.

Please no. I love FF15 but a flying Car in FF14 is just too jarring (at least currently). That and it would be a huge mount, getting in everyone's way, particularly around questgivers.

The "It does not fit . Goes against the Lore " boat has sailed a long time ago.
They will do what they want and damn the torpedoes.

As soon as Eorzea gets roads.

After all the thing we seen that is Garlean I won't be surprised if when we reach the Garlean Empire it is advance technology city with self moving streets, cars, and even have internet cafes.

Heck when I think Garlean I think the futuristic City from Final Fantasy 13 or the Cities in Final Fantasy 15.

Like Averax pointed out, there is kind of no hard flat roads in-game so the Regalia would really not be appropriate as a mount.

However it could be a nice Outdoor Furnishing that you could place in your garden and sit in :p

FF8's Esthar City always comes to mind for me. However with that said, I wouldn't argue myself. The whole speed issue is kinda funny to me when you think of a giant fat tailed bird is running just as fast as a coeurl or normal chocobo or the whole turtle thing as well. Personally I'd probably take the bike over the car if I had a choice but still.

i like the regalia, but honestly since we don't really have road it will make little to no sense to bring a car, where a bike can still work, a car can't work.
even in the regalia type F is too big for be working, but if they do it, i will not say no haha

There is a BIG difference between having little monsters in a game that is full of crazy monster designs (Yokai Watch ones) vs. having modern technology.

No motorbike for VII remake, no car for XV.

No it plainly won't look right in all aspects of it being in XIV currently. The size of the car will clip TERRIBLY into the ground or hang over the peek of hills as it nears the top of the hill. I can see it or cars making some sort of appearance in the Garlean capital, but not so much outside of there, or much less under PC control.

As much as it pains me to say it... Cloud's bike is much more likely and sensible to add, even then I'm not fond of the idea.

The only kind of active wheeled vehicle in the game I can remember on the fly is the final boss of Brayflox's Longstop (Hard). (Which is a kind of armored and armed Fiat xD )

There is a difference between flying turtles, wolves and silly ghosts and a low-speed (!), jumping (!!) car driving up the stairs of the coerthas astrologicum or that tower in skull valley western la noscea (!!!) or 15 of them driving and idling around in idleshire (!!!....).

Max size I'd be fine with is a Gobbycar :p
