More character creation for Storm Blood?

Since we are not getting another race, could we get more faces or more options in the character creation for the races we do have? :)

faces, hairstyles..in fact all areas could benefit from a boost, ability to have eye shadow and blush etc..more accurate lip coloring..

I am always in agreement with customization increases!

I think we have enough for races, having more customization for what we have now would definitely be ideal.

You know what one thing I would love for customization? The full spectrum of colors for hair. Give free reign over the RGB and hue and junk.

I'd love this as well. It's 2016, I thought most games with customisable characters had this

Give us a full color wheel with sliders for hair and eye color (heck, why not for every aspect that requires a color--skin, face paint, tattoos/markings, etc.).

I'm picking improved customization over a new race for 4.0 any day.

Age lines for both genders of all races would be nice too. If the warrior of light is a action grandma let her look like an action grandma! Get off my lawn ascians I gotta gamble at the Saucer!

I would already be very happy if we could get every hairstyle on every race, no more restriction plus, they are already created so it might not be very hard to get rid of the restriction :) (as far as i can tell considering i don't know anything about making a game, it's just seems logic to me)

I pray for this. We already created tons of threads for this request. We need more faces, eyes, noses, body details etc. For such a new MMORPG and as successful as FFXIV is, it has one of the poorest and limited character creation screens I've ever seen.

The thing with hair and eye colors is that every race has its own range of hair/eye color. For example, plainsfolks have "grassy" hair colors so they can better hide... Giving every race every hair color would be "cool" (as long as you think having flashy colors that will never really match the dyes of the dress/armor/whatever the character is wearing, cool, which is not my case, and definitely not everyone's case), but FFXIV has a realistic and great universe, with biological processes like evolution which we can see the effects everywhere. I'm definitely not into throwing that to the garbage so some people can have a totally irrelevant hair dye...

On the same token, not EVERYONE adheres to the lore so... why not? Those that are lore freaks can, those that aren't have a wider color range.

The thing is, Yoshida and his team are definitely attached to their lore. And as they are, ultimately, the sole deciders... And I do think it's better that way. It's not being a lore freak to accept that FFXIV is not a MMO like Aion or TERA, but a MMO that's pleasant to see, a classy game that's designed by people who want to keep it that way... I don't even see why you're complaining, there's already much more variety in hair and eye colors than on faces... You can have a purple haired hyur or a light blue haired miqo'te, and they all seem natural. Letting everyone choose his flashy hair colors would just ruin FFXIV's aesthetics...

I'm still all out for more customization, I just want it to be done properly. More faces, more hair cuts, tatoos or whatever for some races... There's plenty of things to get that are more important than unnatural hair dyes...

If lore is a big reason for not adding some races, it should be a big reason to keep hair/skin styles and colors only for certain races.
I love lore, the moment a seawolf and a hellsguard roegadyn look the same they ruined any value of lore.

Yes please, I would LOVE some more paint and tattoo's more scars and things to make you really feel unique.

I think I want greater freedom in customizing face types even more than I would want more colors for hair/eyes/skin. This game has a serious same-face problem.

That's what the Aesthetician is for. In fact, instead of just giving us hair colors and styles. Have us and by extension the Aesthetician go on quest line to learn about the different cultures and have us unlock their hairstyles. And at the end give us the whole hair dye color spectrum. And it'll do some much needed in-game world building.

All races already have access to all the hair colors available though.

But yeah, more quests with Jandelaine would be fun. He's such a crazy character and deserves more screentime.

Yes we need more options per race and please stop to lock certains beards/scars/hornsetc for certains faces only it's just ridiculous.

Oh and more face shapes, like square, oblong, triangular etc, not just one shape per race (because now it's more like : elezen = triangular, hyur = oval, roe = square, lala/mi'qote/aura = round)

If they ever allowed the possibility of petite Elezen females, i do believe the previous race distribution charts would be flipped on their head. Now that i think on it, has anyone ever tried to mod that?

I agree, if we don't get a new race, I think we should get more faces and body modifications or something.

Something that will give us a reason to use fantasia potion or purchase them.

with ps3 support going away I feel that more options should be open.

I've said this in other similar threads but increased options for character creation is one of my biggest desires where 4.0 is concerned. Certain race/gender combinations deserve more love. Highlander men, for instance, need a proper option for eyebrows as well as some younger/more classically handsome facial features.

I want more facial hair options!!! Please

I'd love for body modifications and scars. It's so unrealistic for them to have no battle wounds on their bodies.. Also, it would be cool if they allowed hairstyles to not be gender or race restricted-also new face options would be cool as well; I don't mean new presets-like new nose or eye shape options (might be easier than adding a whole new face, idk)

And we need dat rump. Because dayum, best cat girl rump ever
