Mentor Mount spotted

I saw one of these yesterday in Idyllshire. So you're saying it's the Astrope you get from completing 2000 mentor roulettes?

Wow. I was already planning to do more to get the Dragon Monocle, but now...gotta go even further.

Yes, that's the one. The owner of this one said he had done 30 mentor roulettes a day for 2 months.

TIL: SE loves Horses more than Chocobo's or any other animal on FF's planet.

I saw this a few weeks before 3.4 hit. Was quite jaw-dropping. Oh, not the horse. But the fact that someone completed the achievement in a 3-month span.

Eventually when I've farmed out current content I may get to that point but damn.

I prefer chocobos than horse ,kweh !

We have a lot of horses . More chocobo or dragoon in futur pls , kweh !

I have to give them credit for their determination and dedication to get it. I grinded for Fenrir when it first came out and had it within a month, but ever since then I swore off any similar grind ever again.

why should they implement more chocobos, if you can dye yours in 100 different colors and have tons of different bardings to change the style (+3 varities of fat chocobos...)

The grind for this mount isn't really that glorious at all. I know (of) a number of people who think you should do this for the good of the community, but the reality is a number of people do not care to listen to your advice and will continue to play poorly despite attempts to help them.

Im a bit concerned for anyone that has this anytime soon. I like it, but its not worth trading my physical and mental health over it to get soon, or ever.

This is so totally true, I'd been harassed as a mentor more than appreciated when i was doing this pilgrimage.. heck, there was even a player who mocked me for accidentally body pulling mobs as a healer because tank stopped moving before reaching the mobs.

That amount of work is comparable to a full time job. I really hope they enjoyed those roulettes because this gives me anxiety just thinking about it.

doing 30 mentor roulettes a day mean pretty much playing just roulettes full of baddies for 8 hours a day. I can only stomach about 3 max a day. =p

Or joining and hoping for something quick and easy, if not bail and try again in 30minutes.

Some people have no life and/or a lot of luck (meaning they mostly got guidlhests in their mentor roulette).
I admire the dedication though^^

It looks pretty sweet.....but in my opinion we already have so many horse mounts that it isn't unique enough to warrant the absurd grind needed to obtain it. At least Fenrir is one-of-a-kind (for now).

To be honest, I don't think i looks very good. It's so overkill, it's just... so much. But it's a matter of taste, of course.

I agree. It's like SE took some pointers from the crazy people in The Hunger Games when they were designing that god-awful looking thing.

That can't be healthy.

It's a little gaudy, but for the amount of work that goes into getting the thing I think it's good that it's eye-catching.

Noone ever said you necessarily had to give loads of advice for every single one. Most of the ones I do I only give advice when someone asks for it.

Sadly this is true n the reason i havent even bothered with ex primals lol personally i hate horses got kicked in the head by 1 when was 3 had fear of them ever since so not gonna farm for them xD

The GC Chocobo has 50+ different bardings (gets one or more with each new patch) and change color.
1 Legacy chocobo
1 Black chocobo
3 two-person chocobos
3 Fat chocobos

vs

1 Sleipnir
3 Warhorses
6 Elemetal horses
2 Unicorns
2 Pegasi
1 Two-seater Pegasus
1 Kirin

Chocobos have the most love of any mount type completely due to how much customization the GC Chocobo has. There may be 16 "horse" mounts but everyone in a 255 person FC can be on a different Chocobo.

Oh, so thats where you get that mount.

I had joined back in 3.35 during the fee weekend they had, and saw this then.

Major props to anyone who got this legit. I've encountered some players going for this whose strategy for long duties was to bring their A game to drastically reduce how long the duty took. So good were their efforts, it would push to me to do better, no matter how boring or long the duty was.

But I've also encountered players multiboxing, using dummy accounts, etc. to farm the second guildhest. Queue for it as a dps during low-pop hours and the trend sticks out like a sore thumb. But, can you blame them? After all, a one-minute guildhest is weighted the same as an hour+ EX primal or 24-man raid which might end in abandonment.
