Another Ifrit loot post.. #27 kills 0 weapons

Why isn't there a 100% guaranteed drop on the first kill?
At least then there would be something to show for it.

Seriously getting bored of this fight.. 27 kills without seeing a single weapon drop, watching so many other people get items they already have.

0/7 Ifrit weapons

Try going 50 rounds of dm5 drops. :D Though I did go 2/2 right after I dinged win 51. :)

I hope they turn around and make Ifrit fight extremely reliant on farming those items you need. Possibly having to schedule it once a week.

Nice for 27 kills ! I beated Ifrit once. If you are not from USA or JP, no ifrit party for you. So I skip DH, Ifrit whatever 27 kilss and no drop is sucky rate.

100% is meh too, nothing should be 100% drop rate in this game, mmorpg in general.

I'm really starting to hate this fight too. I'm only 0/11, but that's not even why I'm annoyed. The most annoying thing is that I'm 0/11 and someone else I know has 2 weapons and got carried thru the whole fight, dying all the time. So I'm actually contributing to ifrit's downfall and I get nothing, while someone whos basically just watching the fight gets all the rewards. But sadly I don't think that the devs could really do anything about it, I'm just severly unlucky. It's good to know I'm not the only one.

I think se messed up something in their servers somehow. The drop rate for ifrit stuff, gold key etc for the past week is terrible.

I like a fairly low drop rate, but it is frustrating to burn though a stack of tapers with only DM to show for it. Then to see my sister get a drop on her first kill ><;

Over 70 kills and I got my first drop (with the weapon I want the least). You're in for a potentially long road. :)

I am now up to 0/45 kills and finally said F$*K it.. I am waiting for the 100% totem drop. I have a few friends who would be willing to pass me thier totems but I see a lot of people going to try and sell thiers.

BTW even earning the speed kill bonus does not get you a weapon.. I think you should be awarded a weapon 100% on your first kill and 100% a single weapon upon defeating him in short order.

Totem will be a 100% drop for anyone with a lamp I'm sure they said that before..
After reading the patch notes it seems you may be able to get more than 1 or none in a single session too.

well according to an interview I read a while back Yoshida mentioned that the totems would have pretty much the same drop percent as the weapons. so no, they are not 100%

If that's true, then it'll take even longer to get my weapon, since it sounds like you'll need more than one totem to purchase a weapon.

Correct :) I have looked at NPC..

10 totems for Ifrit weapon
20 nuts for Moogle weapon

Yeah, so after 10 victories and no totems (with inferno lamp held every time) I'm beginning to feel the sting again.
This is no solution, besides forcing people to waste time in 1.20.
What is so hard about weapons going into loot and passing them around?

I'm fine with everything else though.

Saddens me too when I've fought the thing in PUG groups and I'm 0/22 on weapon drops and now it seems that the totems are as rare as the weapons. I agree that we should at least get something for our troubles rather than the random chance. Beating Ifrit 10 times to get a weapon I think is reasonable for ppl like me who are not in a static although I can see people in statics having every weapon easily if the totem drop was 100%.
