I assume you were going solo?
Hmm....was he standing in the puddles? Because if he is like the previous version, the boss gains a buff as long as he stays in his puddles.
yes was in puddles
was just on the toilet! wanted to share that, too. If other random and common events happen in the future I let you know, maybe I should create seperate thread for that as well!
Ppl did ask for harder 4man crap.. And we got it! POTD is the most fun Iv had in a,long time. I hope they do more add ons like this.
I'm just pleasantly surprised it was a sensible POTD thread and not yet another person begging for nerfs minutes after the new 'challenging' content was added.
Your tank must have left the boss in the water puddles, that boss is actually probably the easiest one when he's moved properly.
Not to discredit your accomplishment, just so you know for next time keep the boss out of the water!
Floor 180 boss starts spamming Meteor at 15%, and much quicker. Use Succubus at 30-40% for 5 stacks, dps save all cooldowns and LB for last 15%. Your healer shoud top everyone before the first Meteror and immeditally after it. If you'll see the 3rd Meteor then your dps is really bad and you have no chance in 180+ where many mobs have a lot of HP and some kind of enrage timer.
Has anyone been able to solo PoTD to floor 150?
Oh just wait for 181 <3
Its not supposed to be soloable after floor 100, thats why you cant enter it without a premade group. You have to have atleast one heal
yoshi mentioned, that it "might" be possible that someone "could" solo to floor 200, but that would involve an incredible amount of luck. Like getting a rage on absolutely EVERY floor past ~160, avoiding all mimic chests and such stuff.
yea died this morning to hydra at floor 130 (doing solo) was very tense and fun but just not enough healing output with mnk using fists of earth/bloodbath second wind and max potions too many cleaves XD tis sad but was very interesting to find out what i could do and grats getting to 170 OP ^^ .
Got to the behemoth at floor 180 and meteors killed us.
So we made a fixed party aiming for floor 200.
We were doing well, until about floor 140. I started noticing the tank was getting lazy and impatient.
He would ignore mobs completely and try to sneak past.
This often has two results.
1.) He got aggroed. At which point he brought the mob to the OPPOSITE room AWAY from us. So we had to run across a room, full of traps, to get to the tank. Kept doing this even after I told him to bring it to us, not away from us.
2.) HE made it safely to the other side, but the mob(s) moved while the other 3 of us were trying to cross and we got aggroed. At which point the tank COMPLETELY ignored the mobs attacking us until he picked up another mob.
At floor 170 he began running off without protect, pulling two mobs at once.
Amazingly....amazingly we made it to 189. Through lots of luck and our healer was amazing, dodging all chimera attacks to raise us three dead people (because the tank was supposed to use "silence" and didn't.)
However, even after getting the raise, the tank didn't revive for about 5 minutes.
This entire time he is saying NOTHING at all.
This happens TWICE.
Finally, after he revives the 2nd time, he begins to run in a direction to pull a dragon, completely ignoring the Chimera RIGHT in front of him!!!!
So of course, the other 3 of us can't go because there is a chimera right there.
The chimera aggros him from behind and he aggros a dragon in front of him.
Of course, he dies. We had no more rages left and no steels left.
I used a witching and we tried to kill the chimera and dragon, but we couldn't do it in time. And we wiped.
If he was tired or wanted to come back tomorrow, he should have said so, instead of being passive aggressive and ruining 11 hours of hard work.
Maybe we need a "Tales from Deep Dungeon" thread...
Sounds like you were better off asking your free company
