POTD Floor 200 boss..?!

Also I guess this is what happened to Greg's bench.

I love this especially because the Firecrest is a direct reference to Tactics Ogre.

In that game, at least in the PSX version which was my bread and butter, in order to get the Fireseal (firecrest in psp version) you needed to get to the very bottom of Hell's Gate/Palace of the Dead twice, aka, go through 200 floors.

I love this update.

This was a blast to watch live, and it is a fitting end to the Palace. I just hope that the other reward for clearing to 200 (I'm assuming, anyway), the Glass Pumpkin, is from a solo clear and not based on your end score.

It would seem that SE hired Sean Murray and the rest of his team to help develop the rest of PotD.

in a sense reach the 200 is the proof you did beat it, no boss is fitting in a sense haha

WELP, now I don't have to rush to get to floor 200 LAWL, that would piss me off so much if I were to pay someone to help me get floor 200 just to have that happen to me. I'll unsub.

it's the palace of the dead.... you go down passing throught many area that look like different vision of hell and the last floor is like the elyssium of greek hell peacefull
i can imagine how is strange, but it don't shock me haha

Am i the only one sad that we probably won't get any new floors, even after 4.0 ?

So you grind to get to 200th floors just sit on that bench ?

Hopefully they can make a PotD equivalent in 4.0

Since they used Taxtics Ogre, maybe they can use Valkyrie Profile's Seraphic Gate; it's roughly the same premise

Palace of the Dead is done, but I'm pretty sure Yoshi-P said they're working on 'Deep Dungeon 2.' Who knows, maybe it'll be called Midlight's Deep?

Sort of...but by the sounds of it they'll be taking the POTD model and enhancing it moving forward so we'll probably get something even more memorable and elaborate next time around. Plus it's still likely to be relevant in its current form for quite some time.

If Tombstones continue to be a thing going forward into 4.0 I could see PotD being popular for farming it. If you can get a good ways into the floors past 100 you don't even need to do a full run to cap the "better" tombstones, and thats just with one class. Might be able to cap it just doing two saves from 1-100.

Floor 200 is everything t3 wished it could be.

It's not. It was said that they have started working on Deep Dungeon 2 and that's why there won't be additions to PotD after this iirc.

This was just a continuation of deep dungeon 1. The first 50 floors were a test to see how players responded to it. 51-200 were the full completed dungeon when they realised how popular the concept was. DD2 is a new location that will be coming in the future with a new story.
