I have been one of the many voices of displeasure with Yoshida's path for XIV...IMO it felt more like WoW and other MMO's as opposed to an actual FF MMO. I do like the current addition of the new floors for PoTD. While some of them and others have been included in the game before these here are much closer to XI than the others not saying I want it to be a carbon copy...but it's nice to know that they give a nod to XI every so often...kind of like appreciating your grandparents/parents for their hard work and sacrifices..remember trying to trigger 'mysterious light' or Blitzstrahl for BLU ability?

Thank you Yoshida and the dev team, hopefully we will see more inclusion of other monsters and areas from XI. Would love to see magic weapons in XIV as well.
PS it would be awesome if the magic monsters actually aggro to the use of magic.

I will admit I am against fully copying wow and the vertical handling of content but anything that is referencing any major systems from FF 11 I hope they stay away from. I am 34 years old now and no longer have the 2 years it took me to finish my original relic back in the day with failing on a combine that took 3 months to gather the ingredients for which caused me to detest gaming for months.

At this point XIV is becoming it's own thing, and I feel (hope) that with stormblood there will be a lot of drastic changes given that they have learned a lot from heavensward and they have a much bigger budget and can take bigger risks. The game is like WoW in the fact that it is a tab target MMO with vertical progression, but at this point we are describing a genre rather than a game, that's like saying that Final Fantasy is a Dragon Quest clone, and both are DnD clones.

XIV has yet to strike that balance they either making stuff too easy to making it too much of a grind with how XIV system is set up. Hopefully 4.0 can have more sense of direction but I doubt it and they will continue to use the same formula.
